Switchwords!

From the site:

"Wouldn't it be great to have a wand that you could just wave at any situation or creative project, and have it turn out beneficially just as you wish? Actually, we all have such a wand! However, most of us have not been aware of it, and have never received an instruction manual for its use. (So I wrote one!)

<snip>

People have customarily expressed their intentional creative thoughts as affirmations, declarations, or mantras consisting of many words. However, a researcher and genius named James T. Mangan (1896-1970) discovered in the past century that using only a single word to create with, instead of a long sentence, is much easier and more effective, and gives your creative energy a powerful laser-like focus in this single moment of now.

James Mangan identified about 100 certain single words that are extraordinarily effective when used as an intentional creative thought, to bring about a specific desired result. He called these special words "switchwords." A "switchword" is the essence of an experience, condition, or desired result, expressed as a single word. Declare, affirm, chant, sing, or even just mentally "intend" the switchword, and like turning on an electric lamp with a switch, the desired result reliably appears."

..more at link.

You can download the first chapter for free.
Found this from my Powerful Intentions Forum links. which is linked to the Secret website.
I will post more as I delve.
Hope this resonates with some of you! Looks like fun to try.

On edit: from the forum; here's the post with a list of the words from the book,if you are interested: http://lildreamer316.powerfulintentions.com/forum/switchwords//message-view/5851663
(I hope you can use that since it's signed on under my name)

This also reminds me of a phrase they teach in the Silva Method of Mind Control-they tell you to say "Cancel Cancel" whenever you have a negative thought or image in your head.

1. This sounds interesting
Sometimes affirmations get lost in the words and the eloquence. I think the mental images, emotions, and intention are the real powers, and words of affirmation should be designed to evoke those rather than to be something on their own. Sometimes affirmations become a lot like the long, complex, blah-blah prayers they said in the church I grew up in--a whole bunch of words with little meaning and little heartfelt expression. Of course, these single words could become just a rote, habitual thing too, but if they do, it wouldn't be because of getting lost in the words.

2. Thanks Lil'D ..
You sure find a lot of neat things. I downloaded the e-book, which will allow reading the first 43 pages. I've got a lot of things to do the next few days, but will definitely check it out.

I agree that long affirmations bog down sometimes. They are nice to read when one has time to think about and reflect. But for driving, I need something short and easily remembered. Also, it seems this way would allow more time to affirm more circumstances.

3. Ok. Done some more reading, and this is interesting:
It seems that for many ppl in the forum I posted, saying "Divine Order" not only gets things in order for them quickly, and solves problems, but it is a quick way of saying/asking that everything be done "for the good of all involved" or in the best way possible. In other words, it seems to be very effective shorthand to allowing the Universe to work in it's own way, the best and most efficient way possible.
Since we are all using that kind of affirmation a lot in addition to our usual manifestation requests (and sometimes it's hard to remember for me personally); this seems like an easy way to make sure that things are affirmed the best way possible.

Just wanted to point that out.

4. EDIT on that post!
Re-reading the chapter download, it says that the word TOGETHER is to be used for this purpose, but I still think the above would work, just due to the nature of the words.
Eh, anyway.......:hi:
