Pharaoh's curse or coincidence?
http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/151571,CST-NWS-tut28.article

Scientists who recently conducted a high-tech examination of King Tut's mummy insist they don't believe in the "Curse of the Pharaohs."

Still, some awfully strange things happened when the team X-rayed the boy king's body with a medical CT scanning machine.

On the way to the Egyptian site, one researcher's vehicle nearly hit a child. Then a huge storm hit. The CT machine, usually reliable, wouldn't work at first. And when researchers finally began the CT scan, one scientist came down with such a violent coughing attack he had to leave.

"It was a very interesting moment, and a very scary moment at the same time," said Cairo University radiologist Dr. Ashraf Selim.

But Selim added: "I don't believe in the curse. I'm a scientific man."

1. This is my take
We all cause thought forms to form all around us. What we think is created on one level or another. Depending on the intensity and duration we can create what we most want. I think our emotions are the key to creating many things, especially with the "old" energies" from the last many thousands of years. (I think it's now getting easier and less difficult to do, just MHO)

A curse is as easy to create as a blessing. Form does follow thought even if it's not physically visible and we direct energy constantly.

Now if we got together in agreement (as even the bible talks about) we have the capacity to form energetic fields around people places or things that would be extremely powerful. A "priest" or trained being would understand the laws of energy enough to cause fields to last for eons.

I think that there is something to it but I can't scientifically prove anything. Maybe once we have a better understanding of how energy is directed and how it works we'll understand it better.

2. I agree what you say, especially about energy fields

One thing I have noticed about those who follow a scientific path is that many of them are very rigid in their thinking about such things as the power of thought. They say that because it cannot be scientifically proven right now it doesn't exist--and thereby open themselves up to negative thought forms. On the other hand, those who follow a scientific path and are open to the concept of the power of thought, energy fields, etc, learn how to shield themselves and others to protect from negative energies.

3. As the saying goes, there's more to the world beyond that which we can see
I was thinking about that yesterday. Magic is technology not understood. We can harness energy from the sun and wind. Science can describe electricity, but doesn't quite know what it is. Just because science can't quantify it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Air, light, and gravity have worked for eons long before science could describe them.

4. Some say Egyptians were originally from Atlantis.
(Refugees from Atlantis managed to escape prior
to the devastation and headed to what became Egypt,
which explains the pyramids, etc.)

Residents of Atlantis were highly skilled energy workers,
and were quite capable of putting highly advanced energy
fields around objects.

Our science cannot yet measure such things, though
quantum physicists are getting close.

5. Hey, before you label the scientist... realize I am one... and not
everyone is like that... what do you think they are going to report... Oh, wow, that was some crazy, freaky shit? Scientists are used and profiled to straight laced... shoot they are kookier and more superstitious than any of ya'll... believe me I had some crazy prof's in my time.

6. scientists
Yes, there are all kinds. I have mostly found engineers to be really open minded about things. They are very practical--whatever works, what are the results, etc. They don't seem to be hung up on the currently accepted scientific paradigm, whatever it happens to be.

I have a nephew that is an engineer, and he was told to dowse for water by one of his bosses once. When it worked, he asked him why, and the boss just shrugged his shoulders and said we don't know. I know of one retired engineer that got into numerology in a big way, and also know a retired engineer that does distance treatments.
