The Universe must be sending a message.
The past several days have presented a drum beat on this theme.

A Thanksgiving Prayer perhaps . . ? Let's consider trying a little co creation with one another.

Yup I understand how everyone needs to vent from time to time but I've been wondering for a long time whether directing that much negative energy at him may be counterproductive to our desired purpose.

Transmutation News - Sandra Ingerman - December 2006

Of course the biggest challenge with this work is when we look at some political leaders, terrorists, police who abuse prisoners, etc. Our human reactions bring us to a place of anger. And this anger actually feeds the problematic behavior.
...
When we constantly react with anger towards the behavior we observe in others we are feeding the heart of hate and not love.

When we realize that we are becoming exactly like those we oppose, shouldn't that be reason enough for us to stop opposing them?

As we have walked across The Bridge together, we've talked a lot about the old ways and the new ways of doing things. The current world acceleration requires us to adapt to challenges and situations which may be uncomfortable at first, but, with a shift in our perspective, all things come into focus. We see that the new ways are actually beneficial for us; that they offer the promise of something far grander than the current mainstream matrix. In order to slip gracefully into the new paradigm we only need to let go . . .

I've always enjoyed window shopping. You know what window shopping is: it's going out to the stores with no intention of buying anything. When I window shop, I tell myself that, today, I'm leaving my wallet in my pocket. I'm just going to look in the windows, no matter how tempting the shop owners present their wares.

I treat our current way of life the same way. I'm only window shoppping it. I'm not buying anything anymore. When the media, for instance, tells me that there is some new problem out there, and the solution is now being made available to everyone, I simple observe it. My experience has taught me, time and time again, that the media is self serving, and they have no interest whatsoever in my well being. In fact, it's just the opposite - the media creates problems for us in order to get us to buy ideas and consumer goods.

In the old days, I would have gotten angry and begun to oppose their media gyrations, thus dissipating my precious energy. But now that I've started to integrate The Code into my life, I've come to understand that I am becoming just like whoever or whatever I am opposing.

So now I window shop. I observe only, with no emotional attachment to the ideas they're selling on TV and in the newspapers. I'm not buying any of it; so I'm no longer feeding it, and I'm no longer becoming like those I used to oppose. This is one of the keys to our ultimate happiness. We let go by becoming observers.

Those who are living in their highest light know that it is good to share your life and your love, for we have, indeed, come together for a reason. Feel free to fill your days and nights with love for your partner, your family, your friends, your pets, your possessions and everything, for these are all gifts unto you. Just remember that it is unwise to let your attachment to anyone or anything take one minute away from your joy.

From The Highest Light Teachings

My intention for today is: I intend that I am observing the world around me and, in this way, I am doing my part to usher in a golden age of manifestation.

1. I agree, votes. I still feel as though I need to take action to make a...
difference in the world, but I no longer allow myself to get out of balance. (At least, that's what I'm working towards, and I've made great progress.) In my opinion, both things are required to help the world to change -- maintaining balance/not letting my emotions get out of control and active participation in the change process.

Thanks for the great post!

Though I fully agree that an approach of neutrality prevents one from polarizing and more than likely inadvertently empowering the opposition, and most of my friends in the spiritual community pay absolutely no attention to politics and are probably far healthier and happier for doing so, for some strange reason I'm not afforded that luxury this time 'round.

It's interesting that you would start this thread addressing this issue this morning.

I posted this yesterday on the prayer thread in response to your, IHAD's, and Metta's kind words but it would appear that it was too far upthread to garner any responses. (after the editing period had expired I noticed that I neglected to say that it was an etheric dove that descended upon me back then. I'll make that distinction on the prayer thread as well)

You see, my challenge is to transform anger into humor to break through and dispell commonly accepted fallacies. However I can not continue to do so at the acute expense of self.

Somehow I can't stop myself though. It's weird.

As you noticed on that other thread from early '05 I've been addressing the pointless of incessantly spleen venting for quite a while, even for decades, like a broken record I swear.

Thanks for reviving this discussion as I feel it is an essential aspect of the collective's dire need to transcend intractable dualism.

Yikes.

3. Lots of love to you, stella. Seeing that you're not able to stop yourself...

even at great expense to yourself, it seems that doing this is one of the reasons that you're here at this time. Who else could post what you do in GD and "get away with it"? (i.e., get very few flames.) You have the wonderful gift of humor, which is so needed in the world at this time. As you know, humor transcends things in a way that nothing else can. I hope that you find a way to make it not be so taxing on yourself. Have you asked the Universe to recharge you after such incidents? Maybe tell the Universe beforehand that you're willing to do the work that it seems to be pressing you to do, but you need for it to reciprocate by giving you back the energy that you're putting into the work.

Blessings to you, stella! :loveya:

4. Stella .. I saw the other post,
but truly was at a loss as to how to respond. I'm not even clear on what the problem is? Are you saying you invest so much energy into a project and then feel like there is no return?

If that is the case, may I remind you that no word returns void? You don't plant a tulip bulb and then dig it up every day to see if any roots or new growth have appeared, do you? ;)

The very fact that this thread was started is proof positive that you at least touched me! And I know countless others. It will multiply even though you may not be aware of every instance or see the dough rise from your vantage point.

Now, if you are saying that the toll is taken when you transmute anger into humor, then perhaps some healthy (private?) anger venting is in order. Anger is basically caused by fear. I was afraid of the crime family long before I became angry. I don't know how to advise you on this aspect. Sometimes anger is the healthiest response, for a short season.

From my personal experience, I know that when I stopped talking about my 'problems' all the time, telling all my friends over and over how miserable I was, and had a right to be, I eventually stopped being miserable.

You have a talent and gifts to impart. What can you do to recharge and proceed with what you are called upon to do?
Is there any way we can help?

5. This is something I've thought about extensively also.
Edited on Sat Dec-02-06 12:24 PM by lildreamer316
I so identify with what's written here-I have definitely begun to "window-shop", as it were, about the time that I watched "The Secret" and became active in this group. Something was telling me that getting so very emotionally drawn into what is ultimately just another game, was not doing my soul any good development-wise.
However, I also agree that it is not every person's place to ignore politics, which is why I love DU! See, I understand my part (and my joy!) is to be here as we watch the spiritual progression of a country, nee a world. This is part of the front line of the change in understanding ourselves and our soul's journey, here at DU. It's so exciting, to see the laws of the Universe playing out in front of us! I get the most joy out of that, don't you? When it is obvious from a piece of news that someone has learned a spiritual lesson, that their mind has been opened, that they have been given an opportunity to grow? It is FASCINATING!
To be in the midst of so many souls who are joined by their common goal of progressing (it is a progressive community, yes?),and of finding new, better, and more peaceful/harmonious ways of dealing with our everyday life.
Observing is learning for me.I am taught lessons every day, that the Universe speaks to each of us differently, and you never ever EVER know what is an opportunity in disguise. I am surprised daily.
I love it.

I am definitely on the side of window-shopping,now, because it is my life with my self and my family that matters most. My happiness, my feeling good. I cannot expect to help others understand themselves and their worlds if I am not a bit more settled in mine.

Thanks for posting, I love this subject!

6. Hey . this just gave me an idea!
Let's let the RW'ers be the ones who oppose us all the time! They will become more liberal :D
Yes, I see a slow transformation among a few also.

This is really the art of jujitsu, which has always fascinated me. The opponents attack is far stronger than any counter attack could be. Allow that energy to transform!

7. GOOD point!
Now that you point that out (hits head) I dunno why I didn't see the correlation before. Duh.

I know it doesn't seem like there is much change, but believe me,if you big-picture it,there certainly is.
I think that's exactly why we are seeing such venom and ridiculousness from the right. We aren't responding in kind, and they can't figure it out. They also are bewildered by the change in themselves.

This could be something we need to work on as another post to GD, because I see a response to all the people who keep saying that the left needs to become more like the right, and that we are spineless. See where I am going?
I'm gonna let this stew awhile.............

11. Oh ladies. . .
There's a thread on the Greatest about redirecting (or perhaps transforming) anger and it's NOT by me. :)

Phew. I can't be like a broken record every day of the week I swear.

Consider checking it out.

Again it amazes me how many who post even in GD are inherently in touch with their spirituality despite all the flame wars.

I'm pleased hope your are too and happy Full Moon all!!!
