About James Kim, missing in Oregon.
Edited on Wed Dec-06-06 01:48 PM by emcguffie
Anybody with psychic abilities here have any impressions about James Kim?

I don't consider myself to be psychic at all, and I got one. So I was wondering if anyone who actually is psychic has had any impressions about him.

Is that a link? (I don't know.... sorry! I'll try to find it again.)

1. Goddess, I'm so worried for him.
I really really hope they find him. I don't have any insight, sorry. Just wanted to say that and bump the thread.

5. yikes can you believe how snarky some people are on that thread?
It's disheartening how many people just like to pee all over some unfortunate person's grave. Unbelievable.

A real genuine and honest miscalculation caused a man to lose his life.

Sheesh

6. There's a lot of that going around, stellanoir.
See my post about leaning on folks in this forum, because of the attacks I've gotten for not being mean and hateful. I'm STILL getting attacked because I dared to congratulate Mary Cheney and Heather Poe on their impending parenthood.

The ugliness going on right now on DU is truely disheartening.

7. Those folks are probably very wounded people.
Of course, it's a lot easier to take that point of view when you're not the one being attacked, isn't it? I wouldn't post anything out there for love nor money!

The critics are probably projecting all kinds of stuff onto James Kim. No matter what mistake he may or may not have made, he paid an awful price. And so did his wife and his two little girls.

And of course it's so easy to blame the victim! It strikes me, though, that usually that applies to females. I guess it applies generally to whoever's vulnerable. Or was vulnerable.

Yesterday when I heard something about the Kims on the news, I just saw him lying on the ground, by the side of a road, it seemed, but about 12 feet below it, on a steep hillside, with a small river or a stream down below him. I was hoping this was something real and that he was alive but wounded or unconscious. And then I worried when I heard that they were dropping supplies and hoping he would find them.

And I have absolutely no idea whether or not that thing that flashed through my head has any validity or not. I imagine they got lots and lots of "free information" from people with notions like that.

I'm so sorry he died. He looks like such a nice, happy, cheerful fellow!

9. There is a lot of blame the victim syndrome here on DU.
It's a Republican idea that we have to stop. I know how it goes. It's always their fault that something bad happens to them.

This is more than sad. People have to realize that much of our west is really hard wilderness once you are out of urban areas.

Those areas are sparsely patrolled by local police, sheriffs and rangers, but because they are so stretched budgetwise, mostly you are on your own when you venture into those areas.

I will light a candle for this brave man's soul.
