So how come my roommate
I have looked at Stella's sites, and plead ignorance.
But I told my roommate tonight that we have 5-6 planets in one constellation. I have to make conversation with him. It's something that will help me be a better person, I'm sure. . eek.

But to my wondering eyes should appear, a roommate, who stepped into the front yard and said, there's the palisades (or?) Six stars. I cannot see them. My eyesight is compromised.
He said, they are in the sign of Taurus. I asked, how do you know this. He studied astronomy. This is the person who never speaks above a whisper. He pointed out another minor constellation. The western sky was covered by clouds. But we could see the eastern. Or at least he could. What wonders are wrought.

Oh no wait. NO! What light guided the Eastern seekers to a small town?

Pisces wasn't it? That's my roommate's sign.

I'm too much fire to really dig a water sign. But this is interesting.

I wish I could see them.

1. Pleiades
... The Seven Sisters, I believe they're also called.

If you're speaking of the Nativity ('Eastern Seekers to a small town'), I think they followed either Polaris (the North Star) or Sirius (one of the brightest stars) depending on who you read.

Isn't it amazing to inadvertently cross paths with someone who we have a ton in common with, but never realized it until that moment?

 :hi:

2. Astronomy has always been one of those things
that have been an interest. But I focused my learning time on other sciences. So, yes indeed it is a pleasure to meet someone who can point out these things. And thanks so much for your post. Very informative.

So, I guess it is always in Taurus. I didn't know that. It does remind me of my much younger days when I climbed up on the roof and star gazed. They are fascinating.

Yes, did have the Nativity in mind. Wonder why they were following a star? Do you believe that?

Current rm is teaching me a lot about sharing my space. As mentioned, he is very quiet. He spends many hours each week playing complex board games with other people who share that interest. He is over 50 and has never actually had any ambition. A deep well, I presume.
