I just received this in an email: Top Foods for optimal health
The top foods in total antioxidant capacity are:

Apples, apricots, pomegranate, blueberries, cherries, mango, oranges, red pears,
strawberries, bananas, raspberries, artichoke hearts, red kidney beans, red cabbage,
kale, yellow peppers, eggplant, raw carrots, red leaf lettuce, black-eyed peas, red
cabbage, spinach, sweet potatoes, prunes, figs, raisins, pecans, walnuts, almonds,
dark chocolate, black or green tea, cooked tomatoes or juice, peanuts. Russet
potatoes come way ahead of even whole grain bread and white bread is really a
negative. Of course all real plant food has some antioxidant benefit. Ground cloves,
cinnamon, oregano, and turmeric are among the top tier of antioxidants - even a
fourth teaspoon of any of these beats most of the vegetables and some of the fruits.

The bottom line: EAT A WIDE VARIETY OF REAL FOOD.

1. Based on their criteria
the book, "Nutripoints", rates cantaloupe as the #1 fruit. Thanks for this great list. The earth is a Bounty!

3. Oregano and turmeric!!
Love them. I keep big shaker bottles of both on top of my stove and put them on everything!! Okay I am not a very creative cook. Doesn't green tea have fluoride in it? I would say don't OD on that. I know all the studies about it look great, but it just doesn't sit all that well with me. Muscle testing or using a pendulum is really helpful for determining what foods are healthy for a particular individual.

4. My thing is
cayenne. It warms and cleanses the sysem. Very good for digestion.

Lemon juice on brocolli or spinach gives them a refreshing flavor.

I'm convinced that as I have had some abuses of my body, I learned early on (20's) about natural foods and supplements. I'm still in pretty good shape. Moderate exercise (don't ask me to go to a gym) and fresh air are MUSTS. But I'm preaching to the choirs. Ya'll know this.
