America's financial woes? Star IQ's Robert Gover:

-=snip-

re: Americans anger at the US media:
" part of our national character: Uranus and Mars in Gemini are warriors in Mercury’s cause.

Astrologically, it looks like we’re in for a lengthy period of disinformation from our mainstream media, for Saturn will be lingering conjunct the US Mercury and opposite the US Pluto through 2005 and well into 2006. Saturn will arrive exactly conjunct the US Neptune (and square the US Mars) on August 27, 2009. What is this likely to bring?

The last time Saturn came conjunct the US Neptune was in 1979-80 when we had runaway inflation and the Iranian revolution which toppled the US-installed ruler and took American hostages from the US Embassy in Tehran. This effectively launched the Islamic rebellion against American petrodollar domination of the oil-rich Middle East.

Switching from Dollars to Euros

What is now brewing behind the scenes internationally is a move to switch from dollars to euros as the currency of choice for oil and other international trade. It was Iraq’s switch from dollars to euros in November 2000 that roused Bush to invade Iraq, although you’ll have to google this to verify it because the US media is mum on the subject, preferring to parrot “freedom and democracy” as Bush’s motives. Online you’ll find no small number of articles dealing with how and why the switch from petrodollars to euros is happening, and why it may prompt Bush to invade Iran around 2005.

Add this behind-the-scenes move to what’s likely to happen in Iraq if the people there exercise true democracy and elect anti-American Muslims and/or continue to make guerrilla war on American troops. On August 27, 2009 Saturn will come conjunct the US Neptune. Simultaneously, Uranus will be opposite Saturn and the US Neptune, putting both square the US Mars in Gemini. Also, transiting Mars will be conjunct the US wealth-generating Jupiter and Venus, with transiting Pluto slowly moving opposite from 0 degrees Capricorn.

We should pity whoever wins the presidential election of 2008, I think, for what the planets in 2009 suggest is that the USA will be dealing with financial troubles beyond inflation. By itself inflation is bad enough—-during the late 1970s-80s investors lost money to inflation even when stocks rose. With Bush poised to create private social security accounts by having people invest instead of pay into the social security fund, look out!

The Bush Administration is also likely to add to what is now a record government debt and budget deficit so that by 2009 when those chickens come home to roost, the screams of painful loss will be exceedingly loud. With the dollar expected to continue to fall in value against the euro, Americans are likely to be paying extremely inflated prices by 2009, if not sooner. And with Uranus and Saturn opposite and both hitting the financially-sensitive US Neptune square Mars, the whole US economy is likely to be floundering by then.

Among the many things astrology teaches are these: the only constant is change, and although the planets do not cause our woes, our actions create reactions. "

1. I had forgotten the Iraq euro switch and with 2012 right around the corner
2009 looks likely for a meltdown

glad my debt will be paid off then and my garden growing. I think I'll try to get to a sustainable home by then too. Water will become the new gold/oil soon. I need to get on a property with my own well.

2. Thanks Pallas for the article.
Robert Gover is one of my favourite writers. I always look him up when I go to the Mountain Astrologer web site.

I would agree with his assessment of the upcoming developments. I've read this in other places.

And really, you don't need to be an astrologer to know these things. The dollar is radioactive. Bushco stands off to one side and watches as our currency twirls in the toilet, ready to go down. They do nothing. As a matter of fact, they like it because it means the value of our debt has gone down as the currency has tanked.

It means the rest of the world gets stuck holding the bag as we flagrantly stand by. No wonder the rest of the world wants to unload our currency. It's almost like the policymakers in Washington have a death wish.

As far as our budget deficit and balance of trade problems, we may not need to wait until 2009 for things to happen. I personally believe a lot of shit is going to hit the fan in 2005. We simply cannot continue for than about 2 more years with our deficit spending and the war in Iraq which is hemorrhaging us by $4.9 billion per month. We will be bankrupt before 2009.

The problems that are being created will have IMMEDIATE repercussions. Right now, 45 million americans do not have health insurance. They're not going to wait until 2009 to get sick. The millions of unemployed Americans need a job NOW. Every single facet of our society is being impacted right now. And it's all bad.

(Cliss shakes an American by his shoulder) "wake up. Your comfortable life just came to an end".

3. If one were truly cynical, a person might think
that this is the dimson payback for their family hatred of America,
for naming their grandfather Prescott as a collaborator and financial supporter of Hitler, for Roosevelt turning his back on his "class" and working to save the poor and the middle class - and one of the
things that might confirm that is that one of the oil boys, Farish in the 30's who did tell FDR where he could stick it, was humiliated by Congress and committed suicide, his son in the airforce had a mysterious accident, and the boy child left, (I believe William Farish the 3rd, is best friends with the dimson family.)

Paranoia? Look up who is Ambassador to England. Then tell me I'm
"reaching".

Yes Cliss. I agree as we all have known - the country is flushing and swirling in the toilet with the US dollar. The final stroke will be
when the Saudis and other foreigners pull their trillions and billions out of the market - (which I believe is being artifically bolstered, but since dimson is re-elected allegedly, there's no longer any reason for the artificial bolstering.

But don't worry about the brokers, and oil people, and dimson friends...they changed into Euros four years ago. Hven't lost a cent of buying power. As a matter of fact have increased their buying power.

Look to for the selling off of America. With the increased buying power of the Euro - 1.45 or so to our $1.00 they'll be buying up America. If I were the French I'd probably buy the Statute of Liberty back, (cheap) since it doesn't belong here anymore.

And by the way, if we were to look at the mystical reason for our dollar falling into the sewer, you might look at the new money printed by this administration (without the pyramid and eye).

Just my two cents.

:hi:

4. Bush's Missing 10.2 Million Jobs - Personally Unemployed 57 Months
Employment Picture Still Dreary
Comstock Funds
January 06, 2005

Snip .....

".... Over the last seven economic expansions the average rise for (payroll employment) a comparable period (36 Months) was 8.7%. If that were the case on the current cycle there would have been 10.2 million more jobs than the total number reported for November, and the average monthly increase for the 36-month period would have been 316,000 per month. Instead the average monthly rise was a paltry 33,000 ...."
