If you had the choice, would you come back to Earth again?
Edited on Fri Dec-29-06 02:19 PM by I Have A Dream
(i.e., Would you reincarnate on Earth?)

I really, really don't want to come to Earth again, but I have a feeling that my soul would make a different decision on the other side. x(

This question isn't about whether you think that you're going to have to come back but rather whether you would choose to come back if you were permitted to make the decision based upon how you feel in this life.

I'm so tired, and I have no reason to be. :(

1. Sigh--I just can't stay away
I am such a drama junkie--I just love it here, warts and all. So yeah, I guess I would come back. But I'm a huge Anglophile, so I think I'd like to incarnate across the pond again (I have "seen" several previous lives in England and suspect a few more I haven't seen).

Oh yeah--and next time I want A BETTER FINANCIAL SITUATION!

25. Wow.
I feel the EXACT same way.
I can just see pictures of England and feel a pang of homesickness. I've only been there once; when I was 12; but I loved every minute of it. I do have a fondness for the beauty that is in America; but I would loooooooooooovvvvvvvvveeeeeee to live there.
It really is a physical gut reaction when I see pictures or video; or see it in movies.
This is part of why I like the HP movies--the scenery is just incredible and moving.

As one who has taken the Bodhisattva's vow of helping others liberate themselves before liberating myself, I'm compelled to return here. So it goes. There's good and bad in everything. Good question though, Dreamy.

4. Yeah, I'm with you. I really hope that I won't be one of those souls...
that's just can't wait to come back as quickly as possible after getting to the other side.

Maybe I just need more fire in my astrological chart or I need more time between incarnations. I always think of all of the people in the world who have absolutely nothing but their lives and how blessed I am given everything that I have. That just makes me feel even worse for disliking this experience so much.

I need to find a way to focus more on life's joyous situations, I guess.

5. No, NO, !!NO!!!!
And certainly not unless I get a HEALTHY body next time! I was born sick, was constantly told I wouldn't survive childhood, then puberty, certainly not into adulthood, and on and on.
I'm a Grandmother now, and still kicking, but I have had to fight this body my entire life, and I just don't want to come back into another sick body. Not gonna do it, and as you can see - I am very, very stubborn. Probably why I'm still here, ya know - I just so love defying Dr.'s prognoses ;-)

If you have something that you didn't complete in one life maybe you might want to come back to complete your mission. Maybe your soulmate wants to come back and you want to be with him/her. I'm sure there are lots of reasons to come back even if you don't want to I would assume.

If you are someone who was mean and sociopathic in this life maybe you have to come back to atone for that. It makes me think sometimes why there are so many evil people around. They keep having to come back until they get it right. I wonder if in the twilight of humanity that there is going to be only those unevolved souls having the last battle with each other. Maybe this is what the Armageddon of the Bible is about.

we didn't stop incarnating as soon as we figure out how to get off the karmic wheel. It's not as though people never figure it out, but as soon as they do, they stop coming here. (At least, that's my belief, for the most part.)

However, having said that, based upon my feelings right now, my plan it to get out of here as quickly as I can!

I'd like to come back to Earth in a past life and re-experience that one. I'd like to come in a future life when we finally get our shit together and rock as one world. I also seem to have made that Bodhisattva pledge to stay until everyone is redeemed, but I think we deserve vacations and breaks, so we don't break.

so I vote for my next few lives on a vacation planet to hone up on my musical ability - and maybe take some art classes. :loveya: :loveya:

Dream, you feel the pain of others, and all because you are such a beautiful soul - when I am tired, I sometimes envision what it would be like to experience that "shower" in the crystal cave...and boy, do we now have a visual from AZDemDist6's post.

27. I have no idea.
Or, maybe I do.

Eh; despite all the crap (and yes; there is quite a lot of crap!) I seem to have incarnated this time with an extreme case of naivete/innocence. I mean REALLY bad. I honestly thought everyone treated everyone well; and/or that was their 'default' setting. Seriously. It's been a damn miracle that I've survived this long without being hurt or raped or some such. I just tend to bound along blithely into everything; with the attitude that of course someone's gonna treat me right--why wouldn't they? Despite years of experience to the contrary; I still seem to have this as MY 'default' setting; and I really don't feel like changing it. I'd just lose the will to live if I did. Bless my husband for sometimes being my protector-'cause I sure don't see it coming sometimes!
ANYway; that's just a long-winded way of saying that I love humanity (don't ask me why; I don't know either); and it is such a beautiful earth---I haven't seen enough of it; and I don't know that I will. I have a vested interest in helping others to understand themselves and their basic truths; even though I'm awfully impatient with some about it.

Yes; I'll probably be back--like someone upthread said; I want to be around when most or all of the earth ascends. It would be such a wonderful feeling!! I can't imagine anything better than seeing someone you love achieve such nirvana; as it may be(or whatever word you want to use to describe it).

I want a small vacation; but I like to be where the action is. As long as I feel I'm actually making a difference; that is.

31. I'm Tired Too, IHad
...but I suspect I will choose to come back until I "get it right". I have so much work to do! Even tho I spend a great deal of time helping others, children included, nothing formal or anything, I feel like it is not enough. I try to give whatever is needed wherever I see it and if or when I can help, well I will do what I can, but it seems like just a drop in the bucket and lots of times I know it isn't enough. Since I am an empath, I find that a lot of my "help" comes in the form of reaching out psychically and trying to absorb someone's pain. But I do not think that does much, if anything at all, except help me when I feel their pain, which can be unbearable at times and I HAVE to "do" something, and reaching out like that is a selfish thing IMO. Because all it seems to do is ease my pain, and does not seem to do that much for theirs. So I do not believe I am even close to being at a level I will eventually be.

Recently I read this book about this woman of very comfortable means who advanced through all these levels until she became a shaman. It seemed she ran from sweat to sweat and healer to healer and psychic to psychic, flying all over the country ( and sometimes the world)meeting all these gifted people, attending all these conferences, and meeting with the most gifted Native American shamans as well as shamans from other parts of the world. I thought as I was reading it: "I always thought being rich was a stumbling block to Spirit..." But from the way she talked about it, she went from being "normal" to advancing like the wind! She became clairaudient, clairvoyant, a healer, a person who communicated with the dead, she got this Native Spirit Guide named Tonka who tells her stuff, she just had it all. I am wondering if you can "buy" this stuff, meaning if you can afford to spend all your time and lots of money (you KNOW this stuff isn't cheap, lol), by going to these conferences and buying time with psychics, healers, and tarot readers, etc., well is this the way to enlightenment? The name of the book is "Seeing The Dead, Talking with Spirits" by Alexandra Leclere.

So maybe because I am a low income single mom with way too many worries and crippling poverty and it is bogging me down, therefore I am not advancing as I should. So yeah, I will probably choose to come back. I wonder if I will need to be rich like Alexandra before I learn the stuff that gives me enlightenment and real skills to help others? Lord knows, I have spent a great deal of energy struggling with my emotions and learning how to deal with them (especially when I found many weren't even my own emotions, they were what I "pick up" and so this is even more confusing), I have had lots of sorrow and grief and in learning about loving others as unconditionally as I can, but it did not cost me money and I certainly have not gained the skills such as she has, nothing near it! I just wish it could be financially cheaper than what she paid for to get it, LOL!

My 2 cents

38. I appreciate what you say
I am yo-yo-ing in my feeling utterly useless in this lifetime on the 3-D level, when I know I can do more and have plans - and like you say money is a stumbling block for me, too.
How many of these confernces I wanted to attend...but, we probably are progressing as we intended, in the speed we intended. And you probably have gifts, she does not have but had to pay for to train.
The book you mention sounds very interesting.
It is nice, and I have discovered also, that there are quite a few people with riches, who have been dedicated to do good.
There are also shamans, who do not take money or set a price. I have to look up a link in my archives but there is one in Canada - on the other side from you though, I remember it was on the East coast, that is why I could no go either. Being a single Mom certainly puts pressure on us, at all levels.

And your reaching out is energy sent, which will have an effect - they may use it, they may not, or it may only show later...and may still be available until it is used?

Meanwhile, what else but to continue, and envisioning a relaxing energy shower in the crystal cave of the universe....

There's too much joy and sweetness in humanity to NOT come back. It might be hidden sometimes, but it is there and too infrequently is it celebrated.

I think it is awful easy to look at all the sadness and pain and feel that you can't make a difference.

I think it is real easy to get tired and not be able to laugh as much as you need to--certainly it is easy to be less that sweet all the time, (in fact, it is TOO easy some days to just crank it up and be a ball busting, spine cracking, B***H) but I have got to say it is worth it to try and be kind or at least neutral.

I heard a baby laughing today. I saw two hawks flying, and I watched a couple of puppies tumbling around in my neighbor's living room. I watched a Mom hold her baby and feed him, and I watched my kid hug one of her pals when she was bummed out about something.

Those are all awesome things.

I also had people smile at me today and several people were nice to me when I went into a store.

Yeah, it is mundane stuff, but it IS, and it is sweet and it is part of what is right about us all and about this world.

I've seen the bad and the ugly, and I can't say I've enjoyed it much. I'm blessed with what passes for robust good health, but I also know there are no guarantees about that continuing beyond this minute.

I also think that there is WAY too much that is right to ever be scared off by the negative stuff.

Just my two cents.

Laura

47. This topic hits upon a core conflict between the soul and body.
The soul makes decisions in between lives based upon soul growth and karma. And forgets that the body hates pain.

The body while incarnated makes decisions based on avoiding pain.
And forgets soul growth.

49. I'm also very curious. That's why I want to stay "up there" and have access...
to so much more knowledge than we have here. (At least that's what I'm hoping will be the case when we leave this world.) The thing that I'm most looking forward to when I cross to the other side is having answers to all of the questions that I have. I'm going straight to the "library of knowledge", if there is such a thing. (Unless we just know the answers as soon as we leave behind our dense human bodies.)

This world really doesn't interest me much except that I want everyone to be free from the clutches of 3D reality. (I know that this isn't the best attitude, and I don't at all blame the Earth, which is an amazingly loving mother who has suffered much for her children, but this is how I truly feel.)

I have very few psychic incidents or memories in my life, but I have a very distant memory of being free of this body and how this feels. I ache with longing for this freedom.

There was a guy who worked a convience store where I used to shop.
He told me he had crossed over. And all that was left was Love. He said the largest experience of Love was There. So, I'm trusting that.

I love gaia too. I hope there is some way we can save her and her beauty. I don't want to leave my Mother. Don't know what the answer is. I want her to come along with us.

51. Sure can understand that
When I had a session with a medium last year, she told me how people on the other side find it funny that what we see is so limited and they see everything, yet we call them dead.

There are so many beautiful things in this world that we are so thankful for, but like you, Dream, I'm so ready to move on.
