Clinton Tells of 'Death Visions' During Operation

Bill Clinton has told how he saw ghostly visions of death which were chased away by images of his wife and daughter during his recent heart surgery.

The former US President, 58, said he was not afraid when he underwent quadruple bypass surgery seven weeks ago, but knew deep in his subconscious that he could be close to death.

He told of the dreamy images he saw while surgeons stopped his heart for 73 minutes to bypass arteries which were 90% clogged.

“I saw dark masks crushing, like death masks being crushed, in series,” he told the ABC News PrimeTime Live programme, being shown tonight

“Then I’d see these great circles of light. And then, like, Hillary’s picture or (daughter) Chelsea’s face would appear on the light, and then they’d fly off into the dark, into the distance. And other people that I knew and cared about. It was amazing.”

He said he was never morbid about death, a characteristic he put down to the fact his father died before he was born.

But he went on: “Somewhere deep in your self-conscious you know you’re very close to your own mortality when they saw you open and flop your heart out, you know?”....cont'd

1. wow...first I heard this story Dover....

at least from Bill Clinton. Certainly a frequent if not common occurance for those facing death.

It was as though his family was watching over him & pulling him back if he drifted too far....

2. Wow. yes thanks Dover. It occurs to me all those Clinton-haters

fundamentalists must have been praying for harm to come to him...

Thank God for all the love we and others sent to him and for Chelsea and Hillary being right there.

He's a very special and sorely needed spirit in this world now, and

3. oh gosh, I never thought about that but you could be right

all those people so filled with hate and all focused on Bill Clinton....

I'm glad his surgery wasn't on anything located a bit lower down on his body (ahem) if you know what I mean...after all the focus put there over the past years! Yikes!!

Glad he is recovering- he looks good in a clip I saw briefly about his new library opening.

Maybe its good that most people don't have a clue how powerful they really are.....
