Full circle. Atlantis lasered off animal parts from humans - now scientist
are growing animals with human parts or humans with animal parts, whichever you prefer to call it...cheezus christ, maybe it's best to stop the world and everybody be thrown off.

China has a carp(fish) with a human face...which has been on television several times...but no one has mentioned that it's an actual hybrid.

Animal-Human Hybrids Spark Controversy

Maryann Mott - National Geographic News January 25, 2005

"Scientists have begun blurring the line between human and animal by producing chimeras—a hybrid creature that's part human, part animal.

Chinese scientists at the Shanghai Second Medical University in 2003 successfully fused human cells with rabbit eggs. The embryos were reportedly the first human-animal chimeras successfully created. They were allowed to develop for several days in a laboratory dish before the scientists destroyed the embryos to harvest their stem cells.

In Minnesota last year researchers at the Mayo Clinic created pigs with human blood flowing through their bodies.

And at Stanford University in California an experiment might be done later this year to create mice with human brains.

Scientists feel that, the more humanlike the animal, the better research model it makes for testing drugs or possibly growing "spare parts," such as livers, to transplant into humans.

Watching how human cells mature and interact in a living creature may also lead to the discoveries of new medical treatments.

But creating human-animal chimeras—named after a monster in Greek mythology that had a lion's head, goat's body, and serpent's tail—has raised troubling questions: What new subhuman combination should be produced and for what purpose? At what point would it be considered human? And what rights, if any, should it have?

1. Full circle, indeed.
Isn't this insane shit what brought Atlantis down?

It's shades of the Island of Dr. Moreau.

5. Eloriel, agreed. I just have given up - beyond saddened - this
has become such a sick society, and with their fooling around with these things, humanity will be put millenium backwards.

This was the fear when they began harvesting eggs and cells, and it has come to be.

Since China is so far advanced with it, I wonder if we might soon see
Godzillas or dinasours walking the earth again. I remember reading
some time ago, some scientist was working on dinasour DNA.

This is horrible. I'm glad I won;t be here for many decades more.

10. Not to hijack the thread, but after reading this from
another discussion thread....how can anyone have hope?!?!?

<snip>
According to veteran combat cameraman Patrick Dillon and interview subject Majid al-Ghazali, the first US forces pushing into Baghdad also tested another electromagnetic “super weapon”.

Compelled to serve in the Iraqi National Guard for more than three decades, Majid is intimately acquainted with conventional weaponry. But on April 12th, 2003, Majid was sheltering with his family in their Baghdad home when he saw an odd-looking tank wheel into their street.

Suddenly a blinding stream of “fire and lightning” shot from the tank, engulfing a passenger bus and three cars. The big bus become semi-molten, sagging “like a wet rag” before shrinking to a twisted blob about the size of a VW bug, Majid says. Hundreds of soldiers and civilians were shriveled “to the size of newborn babies” amidst puddles of metal and fibers from melted tires.

4. The Atlantis information does not come from links - was in books
about Atlantis, can't think of the author's name but maybe Eloriel
can -

In early times (and not so early) people were born with animal appendages - donkey ears, horns, tail stumps etc...allegedly from "fallen angels" (probably extraterrestials) in human form copulating with animal population of the earth.

Some gave birth to humans, some gave birth to half human, half animal,
and so on. As you learned in biology class, every other generation or so is a throwback to another generation.

Atlantis, which was supposed to be very advanced scientifically had lasers and flying machines, etc etc, and crystals and as a matter of fact with their experimentation was supposed to be responsible for the
destruction and sinking of most of the continents of Atlantis and Lemuria.

With their science they would remove animal appendages from humans.

Although it may seem far fetched, it actually might not be so far fetched - I remember my mother telling me about a woman in her circle (whose son I went to school with, giving birth to a baby which had animal things growing out of his head. The doctor let it die. But it was a big secret and spoken of in very hushed tones.

Try Amazon for books on Atlantis. I think it was by the same woman author who wrote about St. Luke..but I really don't remember.

9. I did some digging
and found some references in Cayce to the people with animal appendages and he also connects it to Atlantis. I had read that some time ago and forgotten about it. What I don't think I had ever heard before was the use of advanced technology in Atlantis to remove the things. I'll do some more digging. Thanks!

Have you ever read any of the novels by Suzanne Frank? She has a set of body-switching/time-travel books, one of which is set in Atlantis. She theorizes that their final downfall was brought about by a widespread form of mad-cow disease. It was interesting. The book is called Shadows on the Aegean.

11. edgar cayce is perhaps the most chilling reference
i remember reading of 'the sleeping prophet' and his biography. a very interesting story. but his remarkability in accuracy was astounding. his healing advice was remarkable, too. then to hear about nephilim, atlantis, lemuria, etc. and you just get all freaked out -- it goes from this religious dude from kentucky getting spells of possession where he communicates with the angels (which, ok, being raised christian, not too odd), to excellent precog, to amazing healing advice, to... atlantis, lemuria, and people with animal appendages a la nephilim. seriously freaky, especially since i'm a huge call of cthulhu fan. too may parallels to mountains of madness, sunken city of r'lyeh, etc. cthulhu is fantasy (i hope :+), but with cayce saying stuff uncomfortably familiar...

i might as well say nothing what i think about ghouls and secte rouge of haiti, or zombies and spirit possession and the freaky anthropology reports i've come across in african studies... *shudder* some things really aren't worth knowing that bad.

14. If you read about the story of creation from the Law of One, the beings
who were part human and part other animals did so through thought creation. They were the first group of beings to come to earth, and became too dense to leave.

8. As I remember some of Homer's writings were also supposed
to be tales of Atlantis and Lemuria, however

" Homer is said to be the first teller of adventures of all times. I don't say the first author, because in his day his stories were passed down."

" The Illiad is a story that consists of 24 books. It starts with the apple of discord, and continues through the Trojan war, which took place five hundred years before Homer's time. The story is some fact and some fiction. it is the oldest surviving Greek epic"

13. Yes Wolverine, but
science and scientist are not always masters of good judgment.

If memory serves me, the Rosenbergs who realized what the Atom bomb could and would do tried to stop its invention, and when they couldn't
may have shared it with Russia so that America would not become the bully it has become.

Einstein also spoke of the Atom bomb invention as his biggest regret and again if memory serves me, many scientists of the time wrote and signed a petition to prohibit the use and exploration of the science for bombs . They probably ended up on McCarthy's list of commies.
But apparently the Rosenbergs who were executed were this country's message to scientists who would stand in the way of killing machines.
