I dreamed that I was in the house I grew up in. I asked the owners if I could come in and look around, and all the walls had been taken down throughout the house, making for a lovely, open, modern floor plan, very light and airy, painted in very warm tones, very friendly and inviting.
I also visited the basement, which had been finished and had the same inviting air (it was unfinished all the time that I lived there).
Oddly, the neighboring houses, which had always seemd "nicer" than ours when I was growing up, had gone to seed somewhat.
About once or twice a year, I have a dream either about my childhood home or the house my grandmothehr lived in when I was young, and I always take it to say something revelatory about my own psyche (hope this one doesn't make me sound like I'm full of myself!)
Incidentally, I quit smoking about 2 months ago, and all of a sudden I'm remembering my dreams like crazy!

It's very interesting about the smoking.
Thanks for sharing it with us.

2. Certainly a good dream. Try to recall what was happening |

or what was on your mind (especially right as you were going to sleep) about the time you had the dream. That might give you an even better understanding of the dream.
Houses usually have to do with csness in my dreams, where I live in csness. It sounds like you have really moved into a nice house. I suspect you've been growing into a better and more positive way of looking at the world of late, and you're more aware than before of how others, tho they might seem to be in a better place, are actually in a worse place than you are. I'm especially impressed that your basement area is in such good shape. Usually the basement represents the unconscious, and it's hard as heck to clean it up sometimes. Maybe you're being invited by your higher self to explore further into your own unconscious! You say that the rooms were "inviting." That sounds like the right word for somebody who wants to explore the inner world.
You must be reading and thinking about some good things. Your dreams certainly seem to be giving you a pat on the back.
