Poll question: What's your blood type? |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-28-08 04:48 PM by BlueIris
Inspired by ayesha's post about blood groups. Mods can lock if this is somehow a duplicate, but since I didn't see this poll yet, I thought I'd go for it.

4. Wow - the current poll results really skews the population percentages doesn't it |
|
O+ is suppose to more prevelent than A; I'm B+, which is suppose to be 9% (8% is close enough I guess).

10. it depends on the country... |
|
"race" is no longer a scientifically accepted element in fact - so - by region.
For example in Japan O is very rare - A is very common - considering the cultural characteristics, I would be curious whether Germans are also predominantly A.
The French :) perhaps O r B -

like I've said numerous times before, I pretty well know my family tree-it is predominantly German and English, with a smattering of Scotch-Irish and French and, if you go back far enough, Viking. Yet I'm O-.

I'm surprised there are two. I'm usually a minority of one on this. :)

9. I am an AA, don't know whether it is - or + though |
|
Both of my parents are AB.
There was a prominent Japanese expert on this many years ago, and he said my being A is very rare, because it would make it an AA. (long story)
Anyway. Personality-wise, it was explained to me then that; O = human-ism A= ism and B anti-ism and AB is anywhere on the borders.

12. I saw a book on blood types and how they evolved and what they should eat |
|
it was in the waiting room at my chiropractor's some years ago. I didn't get to read the whole thing, obviously, but I remember a bit of it. It was about how first society was primitive, foraging for food, and that a certain blood type was common (maybe O?). As agriculture evolved, the A blood type grew up. (Don't ask me about B, I didn't read that part, since I am A.)
But, depending on your blood type, you're supposed to be related to one of these kinds of eating groups (foragers vs. cultivators, for example). I am supposed to eat more acidic foods, per the book, like pineapple, and water with lemon juice in it. I did try to do that for a while, but I didn't notice any difference.
Funny thing, though, my dad always drank a glass of water with lemon juice in it every morning to help stay regular. I have no idea what his blood type is.

|
I've seen a couple others over the years, but his is the most often talked about

17. The book recommends more meat for type O |
|
closer to vegetarian for type A and a more dairy based diet for type B. That is, of course a gross oversimplification.
I have the book and will post something more comprehensive if anyone is interested.

I had always heard that 0 types were the most common--but apparently on this board, As are almost as common!

do you find O people disorganized or messy? And A people more concerned about organizing? That is what the expert says...I do not remember what he said about the other 2 types.
I somewhat agree and somewhat disagree. I am an A and have bouts of cleaning. I don't like messes and like things organized, but I think most of us do. However, I can live with not tidying up or cleaning up for quite a long time if other things take priority.
My daughter is an O, and yes she is messy - but most kids are until they are on their own, when they realize no one else is going to do it for them.
So I am not sure if we can just lumpsum us into the 4 blood groups.

I'm not the most organized person, though I continue to try. But I'm also a Virgo and I always thought they were supposed to be very organized. Maybe I'm a mutant.

I'm O+ and Sag with Virgo rising. I am organized in the sense that I know where things are, but if anyone else saw my desk and my storage "system", I think they would come to a different conclusion. :)
