New Moon in Pisces - Friday, March 7, 12:15 pm EST
NEW MOON REMINDER... Friday, March 7, 12:15 pm - EST, is the New Moon Power Day in March! Don’t miss this opportunity to make wishes for experiences you’d like to have. Because this New Moon is in the sign of PISCES, it’s a powerful time for new beginnings in feeling more loving and taking steps to release any self-destructive habits of addiction. Progress you may have wanted to happen in your life for a long time can begin easily manifesting through using the boost of this powerfully trusting New Moon. PISCES opens in us an awareness of using the strength of connecting with a Higher Power to help wishes in coming true.

For success, your wishes must be handwritten on paper and ten wishes maximum are allowed on each power day. The most potent time is the first 8 hours AFTER the exact time of the New Moon; within the first 48 hours will still work. The potency continues to exist for another twelve hours, but is weaker. For clear success, it’s best to avoid wishing during those hours when the Moon is Void of Course.

Therefore in March, your most potent times for wishing are:
      Friday, March 7: 12:14 pm – 2:03 pm.
      Saturday, March 8: 9:23 am – midnight
Sunday, March 9: clear for wishing all day and night

These times are Eastern Standard Time and need to be converted to your local time zone. The Moon Box on the Homepage of this site will tell you how many hours difference your location is from the Eastern Time Zone in the US.

Among other things, this New Moon stimulates the ability to more successfully navigate your life by understanding and forgiving the foibles of others and yourself, seeing that we are all doing the best we can, given our understanding and history.

2. The way that I understand it, no...
it doesn't make a difference if the New Moon is in your Sun sign. I could be wrong, though. (I've just never read anything saying that it made a difference in reference to the manifestation workings of the New Moon.)

5. what if you have moon in Pisces?
I shared this with my coworkers (who usually chuckle and tolerate my astrological leanings). We have a big project kicking off tomorrow, have been working feverishly for the opening meeting, and our boss scheduled a debriefing at a local eatery for lunch after the meeting. This is the ideal time to make the wishes, and several of my coworkers embraced the idea. So I think we're actually going to do this at lunch tomorrow.

Wish me luck! No pun intended. Well, maybe a little.

;-)

6. I don't think that it matters where Pisces is in your chart, but, again...
I'm just guessing. :)

It sounds as though it will be a fun lunch tomorrow, Callie. I hope that you have a wonderful and productive time!

23. OK, I'm curious now

who has what planets in Pisces, and has anything happened that corresponds with the OP?

Me: Moon in Pisces, and see post 21.

24. Moon in Pisces? Me too.
It's a blessing and a curse. Do you listen to every fool with a sob story? Because I do, and I attribute it to my moon in pisces. Someone on my staff used to refer to my as St. Dymphna, the patron saint of the mentally ill. Interestingly, her picture on some saints website kind of looks like me.

But darn that moon in pisces. I could be a Scorpio, a truly Machiavellian, world-dominating Scorpio, if not for that. ;-)

25. I certainly used to listen to every fool with a sob story

but I've learned to be a bit more discriminating after I got taken for a ride
by a one-legged man. First it was "can you give me a ride to the bus station"
followed by "I have to go to my minister's house to get busfare" and then
a shady exchange on a street corner, with me promptly speeding off a safe
distance and giving the guy the boot.

Sometimes I think my Pisces Moon has saved me from manifesting
the darker potential of my Pluto-Mars opposition.

7. dodged a proverbial bullet
had an important meeting scheduled for tomorrow at 2 PM EST ... but, knowing this guy, it'd be more like 2:10 or 2:15 before he showed up and 2:30 before the business talk started, right smack during Moon Void of Course (of course!)

It JUST got rescheduled to next Tuesday. Whew! :-)

but, alas, I'm just the cute little dancing bear on the side who comes when called and then quickly gives the spotlight back when the Big Boys (eg. the guy who rescheduled on me) comes back in the room.

And thank goodness for THAT!

And me sails is ready for some of dat wind. Go, Uranus! :woohoo:

17. void of course moon
So we had our big meeting this morning, we went to lunch afterward and did our wishing (although some people clearly thought we were nuts to do it, others were quite engaged).

Are we supposed to do something with these wishes after we write them down? We decided to save them and check them at the end of this big project we're working on.

But, that void of course moon....we got back to the office and the computer network was down. No one could get in to do any work for at least an hour. Not necessarily a bad thing, given how hard we have worked to get ready for the big meeting.

Is that the kind of thing that happens with a void of course moon? Communication breakdown?

20. more a Mercury retrograde thing
or a dodgy computer system thing  but not out of the realm of possibility for a Void of Course Moon.

As for the wishes, I fold my up, place them in an envelope and just let the Universe do what it's going to do. I've made my desires clear so there's no more need to press the Universe about it. I trust the Universe is much better at bringing me what I need than I am, but I do what I can here on this plane to help. It's not like I sit around waiting for it all to show up, you know.

New Moon in Pisces: why your ego is dishonest

The New Moon is on March 7 in Pisces. Also on March 7, Mars is opposing Pluto and the Sun will conjunct Uranus on March 8.

But that's not the whole story.

Mars is opposing Pluto.

This is the 3rd time due to Mars' Retrograde station this past fall and winter. This opposition started back on September 21, 2007 and occurred again while Mars was Retrograde on January 2. Mars and Pluto are opposing for the last time on this New Moon and will conjunct at the end of 2008. Whatever your ego projects onto others now can come back to you by the end of the year. Let's investigate, which is what Pluto loves to do!

Mars is in Cancer. Pluto is in Capricorn. Cancer seeks security; Capricorn seeks form. Security vs Structure. Mars is ego. Capricorn is form. Ego vs Form. 2 sides of the same situation: power relying on the ego for security. And in Cancer-Capricorn, the struggle for power is likely to be disguised, camouflaged, masked in what is socially acceptable. So it's a good time to see how we're doing, by consensus.

The ego, or your thinking mind, is both defensive and clever. One of its protective strategies is to blame whoever seems to be easy to overpower. We can also find something to blame in someone who we think may be better or more powerful, thereby "bringing them down to size". Pluto and Jupiter in status-conscious Capricorn make it feel natural to use money, power, and position as a measure of our worth-- to ourselves and to society. That keeps many of us stuck in not feeling good about ourselves. And to feel better about ourselves, the ego's strategy is to put others down with judgments and criticisms.

If (when) you're open to it, there are many people who will (unconsciously) download their resentment, anger, and frustration right onto you. And you can do it right back, without even realizing it. Self-doubt can keep you wide open to negative projections. Trying to overpower negativity doesn't work. The other person has their own beliefs and series of events that brought them to this moment-- most of which is unconscious. You cannot demand that they change or see life from your perspective. They may not even aware of what they're doing. It's default and it's not personal, even if it seem that way while Mars is in Cancer.

Unconsciously we believe that controlling, or overpowering others gives us a better self-image. But when blame doesn't change anything, the other person is still to blame. Taking it on or dishing it out keeps the pattern repeating. The New Moon in Pisces can help you to dissolve the control of the ego, which starts as awareness of your instant negative judgments. Even if you do maintain control, victory is achieved through force or manipulation, a big expense of energy. And maintaining it means continuing to exert your will OVER someone else, which is a constant energy leak.

Blame seems easy. After all, the other person is WRONG! Yet blame is ultimately self-defeating. And blame generates resentment. Blaming is an unconscious default-mode. We CAN become more self-aware. Self-reflection is just observing your thoughts that are NOT true or rational-- or really you -- as they happen-- and changing or improving them. Instead of thinking a mistake is the worst thing that could possibly happen, what if it's just a temporary delay, glitch, or diversion?

Blame backfires -- not because it's evil-- but because it's not honest. It's not an honest understanding. It's a "cop out" or excuse to blame someone who seems less-- or more-- powerful. So it starts (or continues) a pattern of blaming or being blamed. And since that's not really satisfying, or honest, it can escalate into toxic anger and acts of seemingly justified revenge.

Mars, representing EGO in the chart, opposing hidden-power Pluto shows how our ego defends and projects our shadow onto others, and creates power-play situations.

Did you consider that your gifts and intuition are hidden in that darkness, and that by projecting them on others, you are giving away your darkness-- and your gifts. So of course you start to feel resentful; you're giving away your gifts. Yet, the good news it is you who can take back the projection, and with it, your gifts and intuition.

The Sun, Moon, and Uranus in Pisces take us closer to our intuition and inspire our search for ideal perfection. Yet, there are no perfect people. Or ideal situations. And expecting others to be perfect magnifies the imperfections and can make us feel disappointed. As we notice more of what is wrong, we block our intuition and look for, and find, more of what is "wrong".

Jupiter and Pluto are in form-making Capricorn, helping us to see how our thoughts become forms that we believe in and live by. With Mars opposing form-making Capricorn in con-formist Cancer, your ego may think that conforming will keep you safe. Capricorn is about building, process, evolving. Resentment makes your process more dense, overgrown, and difficult to navigate. You can use the inability to be perfect as an excuse not to do much AND to condemn others who are never good enough. And as you project that negative thinking onto others, all you start to see is more negativity and mistakes. This is fine if you don't mind repeating the same patterns you keep saying you want to get past. Perhaps this seems safe and secure. And the future is too uncertain. Yet, there is also a long-term Saturn-Pluto trine, opening the way to release your resentment, and empower your process.

Less or more, when we get our identity from how much we have, we are unable to appreciate what we have. So we continue to put our energy into GETTING more. The constant pursuit of more, for security and status, allows little time to understand or appreciate what you receive-- or what you have to give since you are focused on getting more. And once you receive it, what you GET has little value, and may even make you more upset because, once again, it's not enough and you immediately need more.

Feeling pressured to get more or know more keeps you in a cycle of suspicion and acquisition. Looking at others with suspicion or judgment, the ego scores when it finds something that "should" have been done differently. Why is that a problem? Of course it's ok to let someone know they made an error. If you honestly stick to the facts. But as soon as you insert a negative judgment, the ego gains control and creates resentment, offense, jealousy. These vibrations are just energy, so they spread out. Spreading negativity, even in your own thoughts, keeps you feeling more divisive, angry, blaming, resentful. As the Sun conjuncts Uranus on this New Moon (with Uranus and Neptune in "mutual reception, or strongly influencing each other), what if you can drop the ego and be the change? Fizz! What if you could stop the auto-pilot search for what can be attacked? What if you can let others have their opinions, even about you, and let that be their belief, not yours? What if mistakes are just unconscious actions and not evil intentions? What if they're not even real, but imaginary projections? What if instead of projecting resentment you put your awareness into diffusing ego projections and didn't accept blame as doctrine.

The Pisces New Moon is idealistic and longs for perfection. Becoming disappointed when life lis not perfect keeps you from reaching beyond preset limits. If perceived failure is emotionally devastating, why would you want to put yourself through it? Yet, while focusing on flaws, you are also missing the joy of sharing your gifts. Pisces is the sign of spiritual evolution through feeling your compassion for the whole.

On this Pisces New Moon you can awaken your ideal spiritual awareness (which others can judge as evasive) and try to avoid negative projections -- even if they are intended to hurt you. The most powerful thing you can do is de-fuse the ego is to diffuse it.

While this Pisces Moon helps us feel subtle emotions that are interfering and causing pain and disappointment in our lives, it also suggests immediate personal and social change. The Sun and Moon are both approaching a conjunction to Uranus-- within hours for the Moon and on Saturday for the Sun. And they are getting a nice assist from big-hearted Jupiter, making a sextile to the Sun-Moon-Uranus in Pisces. And since Jupiter is the old ruler of Pisces, this makes the bond all the more personal and compelling. This is an EASY time to let go of your negativity. There has never been more encouragement, more cultural awareness to help us through the process of letting go of beliefs that aren't working.

The ruler of Pisces, Neptune, is receiving a conjunction from love-planet Venus (Thursday, March 6). And while this may not be the kind of love you can reach out and touch for sure, it is the kind of unconditional love that can awaken your intuition as it goes beyond boundaries, melts hearts, and lightens up the ego.

Be the blessing!

21. I love it when these things resonate

I hadn't seen this until today, anyway, last Friday I gave and received some much needed affection and attention from
someone I'd met only once before, and another with whom it was a first meeting, and I've been smoking less.

"it’s a powerful time for new beginnings in feeling more loving and taking steps to release any self-destructive habits of addiction."
