From the Dances of Universal booklet, "Creation Dances"--

These words are from "The Flowing Light of the Godhead", Mechtild of Magdeburg's poetic account of her spiritual journey, part of which is dialoge between God and the soul. Living in 13th century Germany, Mechtild was both a mystic and member of the Beguines, a women's spiritual movement that decried the abuses of church and society and sought to perform acts of service for the poor. The words of this Dance are prefaced by "God speaks" and affirm her belief in the healing power of love in the face of both personal and collective pain and death. They are also deeply panentheistic--affirming that God is in all of nature as well as ineffable....

Peace: Learn It, Live It, Teach It. I guess al this primary stuff is just a waste of space and time on a progressive board. I should probably just turn it off. Really beautiful words... They have an amazing power.
