Request for help in locating my Lili cats favorite toy, her beloved "stick" |
|
"Stick " is like her banky. She carries it everywhere and only likes that particular "stick". It is a white plastic cylinder with a beige and brown ball that rattles at the end of a short string. She has had it since she was a baby and sick. She lost it somewhere in the house and can't find it! She cries piteously for it. Lili is a small autumn torty who looks a bit like an owl as her green eyes are circled in beige. She is not quite 2 years old.Does anyone have an inkling where "stick" might be? I have looked over and under all furniture! She used to like to put it in shoes but I don't find it there either. Anything anyone can do to "visualize" and find it would be appreciated!

had a flash of:
under a chair - like a living room heavy plush chair, light colored chair - it was just what I saw - I may be totally wrong.

You were absolutely spot on. I was chebking the wrong Chair. It was, and how she did this , god only knows, stuck in the sofa cushions of the overstiffed sofa in the living room.I kept thinking about what youn said and it didn't seem plausible but I rfemoved the cushions and there it was!

toy mice under my refrigerator. Sometimes Mildred will put them in the food bowl.
A plea to St. Anthony might help. He's the patron saint of lost objects, or something like that. Maybe one of our other members can give you the little poem to use to request help. It goes something like this:
Dear Saint Anthony look around. Something's lost that must be found.

6. Someone helped me find a suncatcher in this forum not too long |
|
ago.
After that I helped a friend find the keys to her motor home (which they used only in certain weather).
Try to imagine where you last saw your cat playing with this item. Was someone different in your home, that could have covered it with a sack, or a time magazine, or a pillow or blanket unknowingly?
I don't feel it is gone....just not in plain view right now. Go back to the last time you remember her playing with it. What room? How long is the stick. Could it be caught in a curtain?
Other animals in house? Kids toy box? Did your cat like to scoot it under things? Laundry basket or maybe someone was worried someone would get poked with it and they put it up for a short while to keep it from hurting someone, i.e. a small child.
Just some thoughts. Good luck

8. Here's a prayer that always helps me |
|
given to me by a Catholic friend. The good saint doesn't mind helping non-Catholics, though! I always thank him afterwards.
Dear St. Anthony, Look around Something's lost That must be found.
Hope your baby finds her stick soon.
