Something to ponder: Does the physical body carry an imprint of the Self?
Heart transplant man dies like suicide donor

A heart transplant recipient who married the former wife of the heart donor, has committed suicide in the same way as the donor did.

Twelve years ago, Sonny Graham's heart was failing and he was on the verge of death, until he received a call from doctors, saying a donor heart had just become available.

That heart belonged to Terry Cottle, 33, who had committed suicide by shooting himself in the head.

The operation was a success and soon after, Mr Graham, 69, contacted the organ donor agency, saying he wanted to thank Mr Cottle's family.

He began writing to Mr Cottle's widow, Cheryl, 39, and they soon fell in love and were married in 2004, moving to the US state of Georgia.

So this man not only inherited the donor's love for his wife, but also his suicidal tendences. I find this fascinating, and not the first story I've heard about this. I remember reading about a woman who received an organ transplant (heart, I believe) from a male donor and suddenly started craving pork rinds and beer, which were the donor's favorites.

So often we talk about the Self, the Soul, as separate from the body. But it seems, from these stories, that our Souls imprint on the physical manifestation of our selves.

My former elder said that if we wanted to be an organ donor, we could, but she'd have to clear our physical bodies (a different sort of "last rites") before the organs were harvested. I can see why.

1. what a story
Not a coincidence. No, not at all. Anyone receiving a transplant like this would be wise to get some energy work done.

This is very interesting, and also sad. Usually these stories are not quite as dramatic. It is generally something about changes in types of music one likes, or something just about food likes and dislikes. It seems to be heart transplants that I read about the most. Not sure I have heard many stories about kidney transplants, for instance. Not that I think anyone is studying the phenomenon.

2. Yes, this was the most dramatic instance I've ever heard of
And quite, quite sad.

Good point about it being only heart transplants (although I don't know of anyone collecting information on this either)--I suppose it makes sense, though--the organ at the heart chakra, where we carry our love.

It is mind boggleing. I wonder is it a thoughtform from the original organ's owner or is it a soul fragment?

5. The issue of organ donor ship has weighed heavily upon me for a long while.
I've a client who has quilted himself for years about lying in a hospital bed wishing for someone to die,

He received a heart from a guy who took a bullet in a pool room brawl. He was raised Catholic and felt enormously guilty.

He was a journalist. I counseled him and said, "You don't know if you didn't save his life in another time. This is a blessing and you won't know until your day of judgment what really transpired."

He got a healthy 20 year old heart in his 50's.

He's gone on to courageously face legal travails, home confinement for bogus charges, and still goes on to fight the good fight for truth and justice.

I think that good Italian heart is prevailing.

7. Is this what they mean in regards to "cell memory"?
I think I have heard of this before. In any organ transplant, your blood is circulated throughout them. I wonder about bone marrow transplants too.
