My take on "stuff"
This year we will start to get a bit of a break, around August, when the energies will change to a more wholesome level. We will have our nominee before then (as far as I can tell).

We all need to start thinking in terms of conservation, both personal and global. We will benefit from community living, ie: buying our groceries from local farmers or raising our own food and places like local free cycle and Craig's list.

Find a network locally to barter with. Save all the things you think you'll need should you not be able to purchase again for a while or learn how to make what you need. Clean out and clean up both our heads and our living spaces, give the earth a break from our constant consumerism. Let go of the fear of "what if".

What if so and so wins, or what if the economy gets worse, all of the "what ifs" need to be thrown under the bus, :P(I haven't been able to use that phrase yet so please allow this one instance). Start right now to hope for the best and live in the now. Get in gear and be ready to do what you're best at and give freely to those who can't help themselves while bartering and/or holding a job on the side.

Have a great life by not worrying about the future, just give yourself the opportunity to bloom. Really look into the soul of all the people you meet, both online and in real life. There is always more going on under the surface with all of us and NOTHING is (totally) as it appears.

Everyone in the world wants at least two things; love and acceptance. We need to practice on ourselves and then take it to the masses.

Finally, give yourself a break, it's OK to be mad, or sad or lazy just don't wallow there. Be brave, we can have a better world, as the saying goes we are the ones we've been waiting for.

2. I'm with you, OB
I purposely avoid any messages of "PEOPLE ARE GOING TO SUFFFFFEEEERRRR IN THE NEAR FUTURE!!!" including warnings of drought, fire, famine, locusts, etc. No offense meant to folks here who foresee that--I'm not disrespecting you--you know I luvs ya--I just can't look at many of those messages without the fear creeping in. And I have a terrible tendency to manifest what I fear, so I have to turn it around to the positive.

Like...I plan on planting a vegetable garden this year, but with the mindset that it will be fun especially for MG Jr., that it will be healthy, that it will be good exercise--not that I'm doing it because I expect the grocery store shelves to be empty. Hope that makes sense! :hi:

3. Absolutely.
I've been having similar feelings. And I can see permutations of these ideas rippling through the people around me.

We are in for a heady, wonderful time.

thanks

I'm with you, too on all of the points. :)

"mad, or sad or lazy just don't wallow there" I will use it on Mom. I have been telling her that being sad is only static and there is no progress in it - Your phrase is a much better way to convey the essence... thanks.

8. I'm looking forward to a time when things are clearer and we
have something to work for. I hate what is going on right now and think I might drop out of the political scene these next few months and spend my energies on more mundane things, gardening for instance.

10. Mudane? Hardly.
It demonstrates foresight to engage in any activity demanding cultivation, nurturing, planning, and patience. IMO, the coming shift will demand these qualities en masse.

Me, I'm disappointed that our dirt is still too wet to work today, but it's perfect for weeding. I hope to get our tomatoes in tomorrow.

12. I've been out weeding too.
And got a great start on cleaning out the garage.
If tomorrow is like today, I'm going to have to take my butt to the creek!

11. Gardening is a rebellious and revolutionary act in these days of industrial agriculture
which creates toxin laden and franken 'food'. Growing even a small part of your own food supply is a small way of giving the finger to mega-corporations bent on total monopoly on everything we consume. Think of the old company towns in the old west where you went to the company school until you went to work for the company mine, bought your food and other goods at the company store and when you died you were buried in a company coffin in a company graveyard.

Co-Creating your own food with the Earth and Nature is a spiritual re-evolutionary act. I say re-evolutnary because peole have worked with Nature for uncounted years but most have forgotten how or that it is even possible. If you are interested in a formal way of doing this look up Findhorn and Perelandra and nature spirits. Or just do it informally chat with nature and see what you learn from each other :)
