Prairie". One of the Ingall's children met an older woman, and one Sunday, he found her out by a creek, under a tree, and he asked her why she wasn't in church. She said something like, "This is my church."
That really struck me, because I, too, believe that a church doesn't necessarily mean a building. Rather, it is a place where one's soul is renewed and recharged. If that takes place in a building called a church, that's fine. But it's just as fine if that renewal and recharging takes place under a tree, next to a creek.
And, one doesn't really even have to call it a church; it's the feeling one gets that counts.
