metaphysical~spiritual movies......
Cinema – the art form of the Modern World – has only brushed the surface of the depth of information, material and revelations that lurk within the marvelous spiritual traditions and mysteries around the world. We think its time for a change.

We have "what the Bleep"
http://whatthebleep.com/

and coming soon "INDIGO"

Recently, Magical Blend Magazine spent two days on the set of Indigo, Stephen’s directorial debut about a psychic child and her ability to heal even the deepest of family wounds. From the first moments, when Stephen came out to welcome us with smiling eyes and a warm handshake, it was clear this was not the movie set of your stereotypical imaginings. The more we talked to the crew, most of which were working at either 10% of their usual rates or as self-supporting volunteers, the more it became clear what we were witnessing. This was more than the making of a spiritual film. This was the spiritual making of a film.

1. I'm looking forward to it, too.
I will eventually get to "What the Bleep." It's been playing down south, but my working schedule just doesn't have much time for driving tours!

"Indigo..." that's another story. I'd never heard of Indigo Children until about 3, 3 1/2 years ago. I was reading cards at a "psychic fair" fundraiser for a local business; no profit, all fun and fundraising. During a lull, one of the other readers offered to read for me. I'd never met him, and he knew nothing about me. He read from a non-tarot, astrology-related deck; I'm not sure what they were. Part of his reading said,

"Your task is to work with and support the Indigo children." I didn't know what he meant, so I went home and researched it. I read books, and found Twyman. I've been following them ever since. And wondering just how to accomplish my task in an increasingly rigid professional control system. I don't know that I always get the job done; in the face of what we're dealing with, I try to start every day reminding myself just to love them, and let the rest of it happen.

Do I plan to see this movie come January? You bet!

2. Thanks for the heads up!
I've heard about Indigo Children but don't know that much about them/the subject. Can't wait to see the film. :-)

5. I'm an Indigo old bastard,...will you work with me?
I'm beginning to sag and could use some support. If only I'd realized my Indigoness as a child, who knows what mountains I might've climbed.

Actually, I noticed the Indigo Child phenomenon in its seminal stages. I theorized it grew out of things unlocked within us during the 60s. There are some spectacularly wise, beautiful, and insightful kids out there. I'm jazzed this is being discussed and celebrated.

9. Sure, I will!
Any time. ;-)

I am in an almost unheard of situation as a public elementary school teacher. I am currently doing my 3rd year with one particular group of children. I had them as 2nd graders, then 3rd graders, now 5th graders. Not on purpose; constant restructuring at our school site just kept tossing them my way. I know there was another reason for that; they are a very unusual group of kids. A collection of Indigos all together. I have learned so much from them.

3. I (heart) Huckabees
I loved this movie. It starred Lily Tomlin and Dustin Hoffman. In their silly, comedic way, their characters made some profound statements.

6. Hi Rose...Would Jacob's Ladder qualify?
That movie had a profound impact on me.

'What Dreams May Come', is another. The look of that movie is amazing. A painted film.

10. "What Dreams May Come" was very enjoyable
but I thought it was also somewhat dogmatic. The story implied (at least to me) that Robin Williams' wife was somehow doomed to remain in what seemed to be a sort of purgatory because she suffered from mental instability and took her own life.
I've seen the movie a number of times and even own a copy. That aspect of the plot has always seriously bothered me.

BTW, have you seen "Waking Life"? That is quite interesting.
