Stuff like this really gets to me:
Obstruction of Justice.

Today has been a relatively calm day, and I had time to actually read some of the subscribed political newsletters, albeit just the first few new ones - the link to the video - really got to me. I had planned to post something else in ASAH with my time today, but I hope I can do it a little later this evening, too.

Anyway, I got curious, and in between Mom's needs, I started researching...why the repubs would do that.

I really think we have an alternative to Impeachment, which could in fact work. Especially, when you want to give Pelosi & Hoyer the dignity of not having to soil their pants with something like impeachment proceedings...

of course people are busy today arguing about Mr. Russert...

1. Me too
Sheldon was noticeably and really rightfully totally PO-ed.

He's not only my Senator but is as sharp as a tack.

I could offer up some funny and semi eccentric "yocal" details about him and our former ethical Senator Lincoln Chafee (no longer a Repub and thoughtfully voted against IWR) but will refrain from doing so. Suffice it to say: they are good friends.

Those unenlightened bozos have essentially attempted to legalize and falsely rationalize sadism.

They can't get away with it for much longer.

But I have such a post Magna Carta philosophy. Silly me.

This is thoroughly encouraging though.

As was the SCOTUS ruling over the past week.

How about a little humanism. . .?

Oh but what about the shiny thing over there. . .

Healings as always to you and your mum.

Chins up folks.

2. stella,
Whitehouse is one fine man to watch. I always enjoy his questions...

Especially when they had Gonzo et. al testifying. He must have been one fine US attorney.

Chafee also was good human being to have in Congress...albeit his expression was so torn it was painful to watch sometimes. I took it as just plain honesty...:)

The class of Whitehouse & Webb is something to keep watching over.

and yes, I definitely think, all is being exposed now - in the micro as well as macrocosm. Was it not Mr. Pluto's neighborhood coming to the foreground?

The cosmic balancing act has only just begun...it may take time, but justice will be served.

:)

3. Chafee was and is an eccentric for sure.
Torn between his familial legacy and what his party had become, or rather digressed into. He became am Independent last spring.

He's so funny. After being to the manor born, and graduating from law school, he went out to Montana to shoe horses. Priorities, priorities. . .ya know. . . ?

Not to be a stickler but Sheldon was a State's Attorney General not a fed. In that role he made a singular gaffe. He failed to provide protection to a witness who was a young girl who was murdered.

That was an oversight that cost him the Governorship.

Oh well.

but it may be my deluded optimism kicking in.

But seriously, what I get from the collective is that people are just sick and tired of being lied to repeatedly and have hopefully become more discerning.
