"There is no peace of mind, only peace of no mind". |
|
Hello, again. :hi:
It's been impossible to use my computer the past week. I moved out yesterday. One of the residents threatened to beat me up; and since she has been arrested more than once for assault, and is much bigger than I, I thought it best to vacate asap. I was going to try to stick it out until the end of the month. I won't miss the drama.
So, I'm in a temporary situation; but at least there's internet service here and Peace and QUIET.
The topic quote comes from a Tarot reading I did this morning. I used a three row (Past/Present/Future) spread with five cards each row: The Question, Reason, Factors, Advice, Outcome. It was the first card to come up. (Dora sort of mentioned this (no mind) in regards to the Tolle book, and when I'm practicing Tao, of course, it is basic). In a traditional deck, it is the Temperance (14) card.
I haven't finished interpreting the spread, and don't want to mention the deck. I'm still in over-self-protection mode. It's the only deck I didn't pack into storage. I do especially like it because in addition to the card meaning, there are Affirmations for each. The Affirmation is "I am the watcher". Good reminder. When I'm faced with situations such as the past month, I have a tendency to blame myself and feel guilty. No peace of mind, only peace of no mind was the perfect reminder. I have missed the arts so much.
I'm looking forward to getting caught on reading ASAH. If anyone has comments about the quote, you know what to do :D

I wish I knew more about Tarot. Thank goodness you left that place. There are some real freaks out there.

You would enjoy Tarot. A lot of energy there.
As far as I can tell, my "crime" was reporting to the House monitor that said resident was watching Montel, Maury and Springer. Those are off limits, for good reason. Even though she was told not to (meaningless in her case), she was watching Springer at the time of the fracas. The Maury show she had watched the day before was very upsetting just from the wee bit I happened to see passing through the room. Drama addicts need a fix too!
I used to think it so arrogant when people post for housemates, or some such, and write "no drama". "Drama" is a part of Life! Addiction to drama, OTOH, is not life supporting, like any other addiction. I completely understand the sentiment from now on.

so true - peace does not reside in the mind, it resides in the "be-ing" itself.
I, too, am glad you're safe, votes.

6. Very glad you are peaceful now! |

I don't like drama for the sake of it, either. Sometimes some drama is unavoidable, but I try to get away from it ASAP. Glad you are ok.
This may prompt me to get back to the Tarot..it's been awhile.
When you feel ready, I'd enjoy learning about that particular deck...
Thanks for the idea. Peace of no mind.
