OMG I'm so excited. I seem to have slightly regained an ability I thought I'd lost.

OMG I'm so excited. I seem to have slightly regained an ability I thought I'd lost.
I used to 'deja vu' dream all the time...see stuff in my dreams, have a conversation, whathaveyou. Then, of course, the exact thing I dreamed about would show up a few days, or weeks later.

Well, it seems to have stopped sometime around the time I lost my first fiance. Guess it was the shock or something. I've been a bit worried about it; thought it meant I was closed off or something. I think maybe I even closed if off myself, for fear of making a connection I wasn't ready for? I dunno.

Well, I just stumbled over this thread in the Lounge:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=7909378&mesg_id=7909378

and realized I had read the whole thing before..even down to the chuckle at Dark Tirade's post.

I hope this means I am becoming more open in my third eye/chakra, etc.

1. I have a friend with that talent
She said she got from her mother's side of the family, which was part Cherokee.
Other than my friend and you, I'd never heard of this particular talent before.

5. Really? Well, my great grandmother was Cherokee.
Does that make me one-eighth, I believe?
Wow, I did not know that was a trait common to the tribe. Cool!!
Thanks for the info.

2. Hey
I do that sometimes. One of my early memories is of my mother trying to explain deja vu to me. I was probably only four or five at the time.

3. My daughter deja vu' dreams...I like it because it is a kinder, gentler sort of
psychic gift. :)

I can totally understand why you might have been closed after such a shock and tragic loss, and I think you're right, this ability coming back to you seems to imply that you're opening up again. I'm happy for you!

4. There are times when it seems to happen way too much.. and other times
in my life where it just slips away... its been a while since I've had a De Ja Vu.

6. Good!
I used to have that too and was wondering if different traumas had squelched it for me too.

Not Cherokee at all... but goodly amount of Irish in my background.

8. LOL!! That's the other part of my heritage!!
I'm Irish from my father's side, Cherokee from my mother's. That's too funny!

10. I don't know if this thread opened me up to this or not
but last night I had a dream that my husband and I were watching John McCain give a press conference on the television. His wife Cindy was standing next to him. And he announced that he was terminally ill and wouldn't be accepting the nomination at the republican convention. I was feeling so ill by the thought of the turmoil this was going to cause and the list of simply awful humans who would likely take his place as the candidate that I woke up. Somehow, there was an issue of a lost pdf file associated with this incident. I was somehow wishing I had printed out something or had saved an electronic copy of something related to this announcement.

It had that look of reality and not a dream... one of those I hope is not a deja vu. Yikes.

9. Oh cool!
I do that all the time too, but mine waxes and wanes. Sometimes I have a very busy "mind" or whatever, and other times I just exist in three dimensions (or at least I perceive that I do).

Enjoy the extra perspective! :D

Cute Lounge thread, BTW!
