I am SO not participating in any Tony Snow threads "out there" |
|
But I will say here that I was truly saddened when I heard he had passed over. I am sending light to his spirit as well as comfort to his grieving family and friends. And at this moment I am sure he's in the loving embrace of the Universe and members of his soul group, and he's experiencing a "mental readjustment" of sorts. Hope he has burned off whatever karma he had--or has learned whatever lesson he was hoping to experience--with this most recent lifetime. Now he can be one of the good guys.
Safe passage, Tony.

A person's passing is not the time to celebrate hating him. Let history determine his place in it when the time comes. Now it's the time to not burden the grieving family with meanness and pettiness.

The kinds of things I see posted about republicans when they die are just awful.
I was no fan of Tony Snow, but I do not celebrate his passing.

5. a thoroughly appropriate Tony Snow posting. . . |

He was a kick butt jazz flutist.
I never knew that before I heard a recording of him playing on NPR today and he had some serious chops.
I was classically trained and I don't think I could ever master improvisational jazz with the flourish and style with which he performed.
May he RIP and his family find comfort through their sorrowful loss.
Sometimes we have to transcend the whole political charade.
There is the illusion that Pluto (in part ruling power) is the outermost planet (though now dwarfed and demeaned-probably by a bunch of disgruntled Sagittarians) when more often than not Neptune is outside the elliptical orbit of Pluto.
Similarly, numerologically Neptune resonates with the 9 and Pluto resonates with the 8. The 9 is the most transcendent number: the one where we experience the greatest closeness to our spiritual source (merging) before we start the involutionary process of separation and individuation and descend into the material plane.
It's really quite intriguing. IMHO
My favorite example of this is that of a friend of mine's dad. He was in Nixon's cabinet.
Ughhh.
All he wanted to do after leaving the political arena (Pluto's alleged though oft frustrating domain) was write and conduct a symphony (very Neptunian). He accomplished that and furthermore become a philanthropist (also Neptunian).

7. Did you know about that particular talent before. . .? |

I was quite honestly thoroughly clueless of his musical skills before today.
Yet I once embarrassingly sent FNS (when I used to bother to watch it) an e-mail saying that they had the best tunes of all the Sunday morning shows. Though it was true at the time. I wonder now if he had something to do with the musical choices. I've long since stopped watching it.
I wonder about that sort of stuff a lot. How artists must be torn by the royalties and how their music is used to promote agendas that are contrary to their beliefs.
I know John Mellencamp bitch slapped McCain for using his tunes and got him to cease and desist and he actually did.
Still I can't imagine any of the Pretenders could possibly revel in contributing to Rush's show.
Like Springsteen's song about social inequity being perverted into a promotional vehicle for Reagan.
It's just too totally weird.

8. They make me feel physically ill. (literally) |

I feel the same way about anyone who dies and the board loses it's mind and annihilates them. Meanness; it's not good for any of us.
My condolences to his family and friends.
