Google Earth--uploading pictures.

Well, I happen to love Google Earth, and I at least like taking pictures with my digital camera. So I uploaded a picture to Google Earth. Here it is

35 56.659' N, 88 00.895' W

You fly to that, and then click on the blue dot.

I thought I would mention this because people seem to like posting pictures here and I thought there might be some more semi geeks out there (like me)that have fun with things like this.

First, what you do is upload your pictures to www.panoramio.com Then, you locate them on the map. All pictures that meet their criteria are accepted for Google Earth, but they have to review them, so it takes a couple of months for them to get on Google Earth. Basically they want landscape pictures with no dogs or people in them, but they have a big list of requirements. If it gets enough views or comments or something, then the blue dot appears from further away.

I had a hard time figuring all this out at first, because I generally am an "overview" type person rather than detail oriented. In any case I thought I would go over the basics here, just in case someone here has the urge to get a digital picture onto Google Earth.
