Prison is a terrible place. |

It makes one do whatever is needed (perceived) to survive. Certainly some inmates were behaving in that manner even before their incarcerations, jungle survival. It is much more macro than one might imagine.
This is the biggest lie, the one the entirety of "civilization" (the name itself a lie) is founded upon, the Free and the Owned. Religions are based upon The Lie.
One often wonders how slavery can ever be defended. Yet it is the ONE non-varying human invention throughout history.
Don't people have wars over resources and geography? Do they ever. The global wars (they all are) and the cell block are no different. It's about Turf. It runs through boardrooms and extended families. It has to be "respectable" and profitable enough in the eyes of TPTB to warrant wholesale slaughter and mayhem. Like, in the name of Freedom.
Freedom for Some.
It seems this Freedom of ours always requires someone else's BONDAGE. The Lie. How can something inherent be purchased and sold? The Lie.
As Above so Below.

Nobody can own someone else's soul, unless that person allows it to happen. Not that slavery and wars aren't important--they are. But I give gratitude that my spirit has free will.

The sad thing is people don't know their souls are free. That's one of the points I didn't make. This is one of those things that just started percolating. One of the cards in the Tarot read had as Affirmation, "I am as free as I want to be". I lived a very graphic example of what happens when people put themselves into bondage, freely. So there's free will there too I suppose.
The message of something (one) outside oneself being responsible for either good or ill in one's life, without an ability to self manage, is PARAMOUNT to religious training and slavery (government) training. You've heard of wage slaves? (Religion/Government in the structured, oppressive, dogmatic and shame based type.)
I'm probably on a radical ledge here. I can't promise not to jump :D

3. The prisons of the world are deplorable, especially in the U.S. |
|
I think about that a lot.

6. Well I hope there's no prison above. |
|
Since we're supposed to be transcending all that.

Yeah, not THAT Above. I was speaking limited to this dimension, as in TPTB, from the "greatest" to the "least".

7. Why are you worrying about prison, VSM? |
|
I hope this wasn't a personal issue.

Yeah, it was a personal issue. I wasn't incarcerated, but lived with four women who had been. They are still prisoners in their own minds. The Director, who was a friend, signs off her emails with, "His Prisoner Now", referring to her previous incarceration and her faith in Jesus Christ now. Very un-scriptural, that.

10. So you are out of that living arrangement now? |
|
Good for you. I remember seeing you posted about living in a group place. Prison can be a physical place, but often the worst prisons are those in our heads.
