it's available on-line. Looks like a fun thing to do this weekend.

2. I watched part one, but can't view it 'live stream' on my computer |

so will have to put aside an hour or so to download and watch part two. I'm glad they have the low bandwidth option.
Dossey revolutionized the thinking of many in the medical profession (his stomping grounds professionally) about the power of prayer by doing actual clinical trials that appealed to those who need empirical proof. The results surprised everyone. It's very powerful stuff. And he has gone on to evolve that conversation into what prayer is with some really fascinating revelations. And that's the conversation he has with Oprah, who asks some great questions and has some inspiring reflections on all of that. She's an excellent student as well as a teacher.
I occasionally pray with specific things in mind (which feels more like talking to my guides). But deep prayer for me is almost like meditation where I simply quiet and open myself and let the divine speak while I listen (and the message often comes later rather than immediately)...so that I'm more of a receiver without my own agenda.

should do something that he calls the 5 minute meditation. There's an active and a passive part. The active part is what we normally think of as prayer. The passive part is what we normally think of as meditation. 2.5 minutes are spent on each part. He says that they're both vitally important and that everyone should be able to do 5 minutes each day. (Of course, longer's better, but he's trying to get people into the habit, and 5 minutes is still amazingly powerful.) This sounds like what you do. :)

Only I've never felt like I have to find time to fit it in....unlike exercise..lol! I crave the feeling of that connection and feel all out of sorts if I neglect it. Like any loving relationship. And my 'prayer' time or meditations are a minimum of 30 minutes but usually longer.
It's kind of like when I do flotation. I lose all sense of time and just let it take its own 'time'.

5. Those of us with attention deficit have a hard time with even 5 minutes! |
|
The really ironic thing is that my husband teaches meditation, and is a master at it; he can meditate all day. For me, 5 minutes is a true accomplishment!
