I've done similar meditation retreats and found them very helpful on many levels.
Sounds like you are getting an inner calling to move in this direction. Whether or not this is the group, timing, type of mediation, etc. for you will depend on whether it resonates with you.
Thanks for sharing it!

2. Hey, Benny. I've done that and benefited. |

Both with the Vipassana Foundation, in Mass, and in other disciplines. I found it to be good, solid stuff; the foundation for all Buddhist meditations. My only gripe with the Mass. crowd was that they were chatty when they should have been mindfully refleccting.
As for what's good for you, if you want a clear, personal answer - ground yourself good and then ask your third chakra about it. You'll get the right answer.
What other folks think doesn't matter.

3. I have dear friends who have done these 10 day Vipassana retreats |

up at Spirit Rock, which is somewhere in the CA Bay area. They've gotten a lot out of them, but I've never personally done one myself. It seems pretty intense, but I'm sure you'd get a lot out of it. Good luck!
