9. Light for me & my Mom

We are doing lots of lifting and carrying and both of us, me esp. have back issues. Mom had some trees cut and we are taking the wood down to my Grandmother's so if the power goes out she has some wood for heat. We are moving other stuff around including finally taking the AC out of the window and that sucker is heavy. On top of that Mom wont' take the time to lift things right and I fear she will end up with a back like mine that is even harder to heal at her age. She will grab things off the ground that are too heavy and do it bending at the waist. Asking, begging, and finally yesterday yelling and cussing won't stop her.

Also there is a lot of stress going on including family STUFF that exacerbates my physical issues.

15. I lost my job on Monday

I was laid off this past Monday for financial reasons. The company has been in serious financial trouble for a long time so this was not entirely unexpected. I do have some savings and there is unemployment, so my material needs will be met, at least for the next several months but I could use some light and encouragement right about now. I was there 21 years as of Oct 19 and will miss my work 'family.' However, I believe the Universe puts us where we need to be so I will now need to figure out where that is.

Maybe this is finally my incentive; I feel like I "should" take a few minutes to meditate daily, but never seem to get around to it. I intend at least to try, and to send a request to the Universe to protect Barack Obama and lend him the strength he will need to accomplish the monumental job he's taken on. Of course we've seen, he already has that strength - but when the going gets rough, a little extra can't hurt!

tube of white light that allows what is good to easily enter but what is harmful to them to not be able to penetrate. This will need to be strengthened again every day.

26. I could use a little healing energy...

My saga continues, with an ovarian cyst on the right...lost my left ovary at 26...and my mother's side of the family all the women have had to get hysterectomies by 43 because of fibriods and cysts and buildup of debris...

I am really over the idea of pain and the added stress it is bringing to my body - as well as the hormonal crap, and not being okay for 4 days every month.

I have to wait to get a referal to an OBGYN, but I really want to forego all the other stuff and just have surgery and get the garbage out of me. I am done with kids and I think after the abuse from my ex I may be better off ...

if I can get surgery, I plan to go herbal for hormones and healthy transition...

but in the meantime, I would like to get through the bloating and pain

FWIW I have been able to move around a bit better today. I am preparing to go on a Women's Retreat for 2 days with my church ladies...we are going to do Plaster masks and Labyrinth walking!Only 2 days, but it is still something apart from the daily grind

I KNOW that the quiet time will help...(but there is NO TV or Internet! ack!)

I am so blessed to have a Mom that will watch my kids and let me have this mini break from the stress of singlemomhood...I am so grateful for the ability and the people who wil help me go on this trip, and I am so blessed and grateful to spend some time alone with MYSELF...

The depression stuff is getting yukky right now. went to a women's retreat last weekend and my wounds just opened up big time... the theme was "unmasking" I guess I got a good jolt of that! anyway, just having a really hard time overoming my own gravity at this point, old abuse stuff and paradigms breaking down...but that is a big challenge for me to try and own my power right now. especially when I feel so weak of mind body spirit...

hope I don't lose my job over this too! agh!

...I feel numb and raw... my prayers are run dry and my feet made of lead, my heart broken in a million pieces and there is no rest and no resolution, I have to move forward on monday, no more hiding from my life, have to work and try to at least make some money. I love my work and who I work for,
but the desire to crawl into a hole for a thousand years is SOOOOO strong!

I know I always get up and move on ...but when I'm in the quicksand, I just want the inertia to swallow me up for a while..

Belly really hurting, my son works in the yard for the lady I do office work for 2 days a week,
she is my Shaman-mama...

I was able to just melt into her and get held, cry and be chanted over

74. On the employment front for my brothers and colleagues

To keep a long story short, after the BellSouth/ATT merger, my section, the product evaluation lab group, was split. My group became system planners for fiber and high-speed applications, and the other group stayed product evaluators. Two weeks ago, the product evaluation tasking was finally moved to NJ and they (the other group) was told that their positions are now gone. Options: 1) 30 days--you retire or take the separation payout and leave the company or 2) 60 days--you and HR will search for available positions in the company. If a suitable position is found (don't know about location, but I do know that the company will not pay to move you), you MUST accept.

My IT brother, who's a contractor, just found out his present account ends the week after Thanksgiving. My other brother, the artist, was laid off a couple of months ago. He wasn't with the company long enough to qualify for unemployment.

Please hold a good thought for them.

I'm feeling a little caught in the middle emotionally with regard to my family. Aging parents, irresponsible adult stepchildren, husband (an me) probably drinking more than we should. My 12 year old son is the one true bright spot in all my relationships. What a lot of pressure to put on that kid. And one of these days, he'll grow up and move away. Probably about the same time my father passes on and my mother moves in! OMG.
