Today, I began my new job! |
|
I think this is going to work JUST FINE! One thing I was trying to do was de-crumb the old keyboard....seems all the employee's children have been using my computer to do their THANG...while EATING. There were actual CHUNKS of cracker-like material I fished out. It might take a few times to get it all out! I almost had enough to make a sandwich... I am only a CSR for an insurance company, but doing a cursory check of my computer revealed that they had no virus protection even though connected to the internet via DSL, but it was riddled with spyware. I decided to remedy that situation while doing the clerical work assigned to me my first day. Spybot revealed 339 spyware; hijack thingies; and other nasties. My new boss brought lunch in...Chic-Fil-A, and tomorrow he is taking us to a restaurant.

2. I suspect there is something astrological here.... |

At the end of the day, my boss had asked me if I could make a bank deposit and stop by the post office for him. Keep in mind he had warned me he was a "micro-manager" and the others in the office intimated that he was quirky. I guess I must be quirky too, as I just HAD to look through his stuff to see if all was in order. I noticed that one envelope did not have a return address. I pointed it out to him and he became almost joyous that I noticed. Hey everybody, he exclaimed, I handed this to Digit and she actually went THROUGH it to see if all was in order! They all began teasing him asking if the stamps were not on crooked or upside down. Seems he is totally anal, and he called my noticing "controlled paranoia". He now thinks we think alike. I DO like to be prepared and he may be right. I can tolerate somebody else putting a stamp on crooked although I don't like to do it myself. Overall today, he was happy that I "caught" things that others may have overlooked. Bottom line, he likes me. Life is good. (Bush sucks) I just hope I can keep my politics to myself..I don't know where he stands.

After being in a state of limbo myself for two years, things have suddenly fallen into place for me, too! I just started a part time library job which I think I will really enjoy, and I was just asked to take over directing our church choir in Sept., something I have really been wanting to do. Maybe our charts are similar.

6. Good work, I started a new job in April |
|
got promoted to sales rep already, and have kicked some serious ass in past 2 weeks. So what does this Leo in Saturn mean? I had to take responsibility for clearing up my source of heartache (debt from previous business, ugh). I am loving what I am doing...
Congrats to all of us with new employ!!

My boss can be picky about small things, like the placement of a stamp on an envelope. He calls it micro-managing, but has given me permission to tell him to shut up if he goes overboard! hahahaha He really is a funny guy and very generous. I keep trying to bring my own lunch, but then he announces he is buying us lunch and orders yummy food from a local restaurant to eat in the office. There is alot to learn, and I know I won't be bored! Hmmm, so far, I am making $1.00 more per hour than the last job. I am earning vacation time, which I did not have in the last job. It is less than half the distance to the new job than the old one. I can wear my stretchy jeans which was not allowed before. I get lunch perks now. I get a raise in 2 months. My co-worker has warmed up to me, although she was leery of me at first. All in all, everything is going quite well. Thanks for asking!
