facebook v. democratic underground |
|
I used to spend the bulk of my online time on DU and in this forum. However, I've recently discovered the joys of facebook, and my interest in being on DU is waning.
I probably won't renew my star the next time it expires, but I really treasure the connections I've made in this room, and the lessons I've learned from the discussion here. If anyone here has a facebook profile, and wants to friend me - I'll friend you back. You can look me up under my name, Dreya Lee Johannsen.
Love,

6. I'm sorry that I won't get to know you better in this great forum that's given me so much |
|
in such a short time. :( But I know how you feel. One of my husband's contracts folded 2 days ago, but a company I use to work for contacted me a week before to come back after their re-organization. Then I found and joined a Gnostic studies group in my area. Trying to create a gallery site and so on, before getting barraged with work. So it's hard juggling but great if you love what you're doing. I guess life just keeps happening though we have other plans in mind. OMG, one of my sisters LOVES Facebook and can't live without it at this point, keeps asking me to join even though we talk all the time  I'm afraid to find out what the attraction is  But I'm sure I'll be here when (if) you stop by and will offer you a big hello! I hope your year is filled with Joy and Prosperity in all areas of your life.

9. Yo. It's the all-in-one facilitator. |

I can see what my friends are up to without asking them. If someone wants to see what I'm up to, they just have to look at my wall. It appeals to my introversion, and it kind of turns it inside out. I've suddenly connected with scores of friends I knew in my teens and 20s - it's fascinating and fun.
How'd the trip go?
