May I have enlightened opinions?
You may have noticed I changed my avatar. It says:
"I hate people who remind me of myself".

I have to admit I was a little petrified of coming back into this group claiming I might "hate" anyone because of the love and light. However, I'm so brain dependent, I often lack the emotional discernment to know how something relates on an emotional level.

I have a real brain-i-ac explanation that makes me really dig it.
But, how does it FEEL? When the sig lines come back up, mine will say:

The illusion that we are separate from one another is an optical DELUSION of our consciousness. - Albert Einstein

ps. There's another image I wanted to use that is 'neutral'. But, I haven't felt like messing with it to reduce to 3KB.

1. It doesn't *offend* me, Syz.
To me, the focus of it is more in reference to what you think about yourself than the other person. That makes me sad because you're an amazing person, but it doesn't offend me.

:loveya:

2. Thanks, Dream.

But, it's a mirror. Or intended to be. A double mirror which when followed leaves no room for hate.
I might be the only one that sees it that way, though.
That's why I'm asking.

I'm sorry it makes you sad

13. IHAD ..
I want to post something expressed to me via PM. I dunno if it's the Libra Moon influence, but I l.o.v.e. fair and balanced.
And, I wanted you to know that, of course it can be viewed in various ways, and I respect them all.

~snipped portion~
It's provocative.

As far as your concern over carrying around the word 'hate' on your figurative chest, I'd agree that it is a detriment. It could make you look hostile and self-loathing to strangers. We in ASAH of course know better.

Right, the shadow. Better term than mirror.

in answering your post, i want it to be known that in no way do i consider myself 'enlightened'.

I just *hate* people who think of themselves as 'enlightened'.

<grin>

6. I appreciated it when you last used it, and that you are using it again.

As I am one who requires the reminder that if you spot it, you got it.

8. I'm also "overly responsible" for bullshit I cannot control
so that has to be factored in.

You're right. I haven't put my birthday into the thread. Hmmm...

9. I like it
I'm not sure why. It can be taken several ways, and I can't even fully verbalize them.

But it has that "we are all connected" vibe, and "sometimes that's a burden" vibe.

And, it is kind of amusing, especially for here.

I don't take it "oh so seriously" if you know what I mean.

10. Mobius
Edited on Fri Feb-06-09 02:05 PM by Why Syzygy
It seems to have the properties of a Mobius strip. And, I can't fully verbalize it either. It's, like, sub-verbal. I get a kick out of contemplating it. It makes perfect sense until one does try to put it into words.

11. you are right, and it also somewhat reminds me of
"I would never belong to a private club that would have someone like me as a member." Groucho

At first, the reaction is "well, you don't think much of yourself, do you?"

But, at the same time, it is a sort of slam on private clubs in general.

Mostly, your avatar is just amusing, and gives people something odd to "contemplate", as you say.

14. It's the universal weakness

and touches me because it points to the frailty in us all.

Also, a step to spiritual healing is recognizing and correcting this mistake.

By putting it out there, you helped heal.

Or something like that....
