I've been looking for 6 months now. No bites. I'm either over-qualified or I'm too 'old,' or something. Could use an energy boost?

I really really really need to find something, anything, while I'm working on completing my master's thesis. We bought a house last spring (which was, and still is, a really good deal), with the idea that I would get a part-time job in the fall. Well, lo and behold, the bottom fell out of the economy right when I began looking for work. :( My daughter and I both have been looking since September and have not gotten even one response.

I won't go into all the gory details, but it's approaching crisis time for us. There doesn't seem to be any real help for us in the stimulus plan, and I'm about to start pulling my hair out. The stress is piling up on a daily basis. It's no wonder I'm not sleeping, eh?

Any positive energy toward helping me find a job would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)

Just want to THANK you all, and let you know that my daughter and I each now have an interview scheduled. FINALLY! I know that you all have helped, and want to express my gratitude to each of you for your support. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for what is best for each of us! :)
