First, I want to say that all of us perceive things differently, we all come from our own "home base", made up of our own experiences. Some of us have memories of things unexplained that we categorize in our own way, some of us deny our experiences and some of us just go with the flow and don't even try to figure things out or explain what has happened to us.
There are many people, it used to be mostly indigenous people, who saw omens in simple things, who named their children for what they saw in nature the moment their children were born. In my opinion those people were just paying attention to two things at once. They were seeing both the physical world and the physical world with a twist. Some people believe that nature will give us answers in the same way that many believe cards, astrology and other "woo" type things do. Others decry anything that can't be stated, theorized and proven by a mathematical formula. What I think is fascinating is that we are all seeing or theorizing something that belongs to the whole and each of us sees through our own lens.
The fact that someone would tell me that my experience, in the way that I perceive it is invalid is silly. Even the most depraved or odd have something to teach us all, on both sides of the issue.
There are people who are trying to live a spiritual lives who get caught up in their own ego and put down those who are doing things they consider to be "the old way" or not as "enlightened" because of their own hurt and damage. They have to make others wrong in order to validate themselves. "Spiritual" people are often times harder to deal with then people who say there is no such thing as a spiritual experience. No one has perfect understanding.
It's important to use good filters when dealing with anyone. I am convinced that most people are good and have a special talent to offer. How they express that may be negative and narcissistic though.
With that said, those who are trying to live to make their own egos feel safe are here to stay, they are as much a part of us as our own names are. There is no need to see them as "the enemy" though they may see us that way. We have nothing to fear from them nor do we need to prove anything to them.
Evolution is proceeding as it will and the anger and disbelief that is expressed is all part of it. Trying to convince anyone that our subjective experiences are valid is not needed. They are ours and we are richer for it, some can't understand the validity because they have never undergone the experience as we have.
There are scientist who are theorizing that there are parallel Universes, that each Universe is in it's own "bubble" and that the Universe is literally flat. I find it all fascinating, whether they turn out to be right or wrong at least they are trying to scientifically follow in the footsteps of people like Einstein and prove through math that the things some of us "see" could possibly be proven.
We are here for only a short while and whatever happens, we have to follow our own lead and trust our own counsel while trying not to harm anyone/anything. The rest doesn't matter, it's not for others to decide our future or our present.
It's appropriate to enjoy our lives and who we are in spite of any of the activity around us. Namaste
