Duality on DU
First, I want to say that all of us perceive things differently, we all come from our own "home base", made up of our own experiences. Some of us have memories of things unexplained that we categorize in our own way, some of us deny our experiences and some of us just go with the flow and don't even try to figure things out or explain what has happened to us.

There are many people, it used to be mostly indigenous people, who saw omens in simple things, who named their children for what they saw in nature the moment their children were born. In my opinion those people were just paying attention to two things at once. They were seeing both the physical world and the physical world with a twist. Some people believe that nature will give us answers in the same way that many believe cards, astrology and other "woo" type things do. Others decry anything that can't be stated, theorized and proven by a mathematical formula. What I think is fascinating is that we are all seeing or theorizing something that belongs to the whole and each of us sees through our own lens.

The fact that someone would tell me that my experience, in the way that I perceive it is invalid is silly. Even the most depraved or odd have something to teach us all, on both sides of the issue.

There are people who are trying to live a spiritual lives who get caught up in their own ego and put down those who are doing things they consider to be "the old way" or not as "enlightened" because of their own hurt and damage. They have to make others wrong in order to validate themselves. "Spiritual" people are often times harder to deal with then people who say there is no such thing as a spiritual experience. No one has perfect understanding.

It's important to use good filters when dealing with anyone. I am convinced that most people are good and have a special talent to offer. How they express that may be negative and narcissistic though.

With that said, those who are trying to live to make their own egos feel safe are here to stay, they are as much a part of us as our own names are. There is no need to see them as "the enemy" though they may see us that way. We have nothing to fear from them nor do we need to prove anything to them.

Evolution is proceeding as it will and the anger and disbelief that is expressed is all part of it. Trying to convince anyone that our subjective experiences are valid is not needed. They are ours and we are richer for it, some can't understand the validity because they have never undergone the experience as we have.

There are scientist who are theorizing that there are parallel Universes, that each Universe is in it's own "bubble" and that the Universe is literally flat. I find it all fascinating, whether they turn out to be right or wrong at least they are trying to scientifically follow in the footsteps of people like Einstein and prove through math that the things some of us "see" could possibly be proven.

We are here for only a short while and whatever happens, we have to follow our own lead and trust our own counsel while trying not to harm anyone/anything. The rest doesn't matter, it's not for others to decide our future or our present.

It's appropriate to enjoy our lives and who we are in spite of any of the activity around us. Namaste

3. Which is why forgiveness is so very important
It allows us to sever the ties of anger, guilt, and fear that we have constructed that connect us with another. That way we can look on another as a part of the Whole with dispassion and a desire for greater understanding.

6. Very well stated and received ;=D
We all have our own perspectives and receive information differently. We filter what we perceive and determine how to interpret the information. We choose how that information reflects to our own identity.

We all have our struggles with what we are trying to relate and it is difficult when we are only communicating through a message board. The discussion is hard to convey and not any where near a cohesive time line. People will read into a post whatever they perceive to be inflammatory without really trying to understand what the poster was trying to convey.

I know from what happened last night is a prime example of that. I seemed to have created a mess without having that intention. Then it seems as though it escalated out of control. Definitely wasn't my intention and I think some posters were reading more into it then they needed too and became defensive.

I meditated on what occurred because it bothered me so much. I wondered how it got so out of control and why I let it continue to play a part in sucking my energy. I don't think everything I wrote was perceived with an open mind, because I stated that we shouldn't be fighting within the whole community here, we need to stick together for the bigger battles ahead. Perhaps I am too optimistic in my seeing things as I do.

So, in retrospect we should not let anyone throw us off course. We have been given a task on this Earth and we must remember to remain focused on our spiritual growth and enlightenment. That IS the main objective and desire that we come to the ASHA group in the first place. I accept the challenges ahead with my own spiritual development and the struggles that come with it.

Thank you for reminding us that we should remain true to ourselves and not be thrown off course with having to prove our beliefs. There is no way to prove it and even if we had the knowledge to do so doesn't necessarily mean they could comprehend it.

Namaste

7. There are important lessons in all this that your OP focuses the lens/es on
This morning is rainy and I'm first-listening to Hildegard of Bingen, a CD I saved til the right moment to hear. (Yesterday was Mozart).

As the year has grown, I've been listening to more and more classical music, craving the clarity of it, and less and less news/talk/radio...

I apologize to the Group for coming in with muddy feet and some unwelcome followers. There are lessons here, part of the process we're all in of focusing on what works, letting go of what doesn't.

The OP says it beautifully.

"With that said, those who are trying to live to make their own egos feel safe are here to stay, they are as much a part of us as our own names are. There is no need to see them as "the enemy" though they may see us that way. We have nothing to fear from them nor do we need to prove anything to them.

"Evolution is proceeding as it will and the anger and disbelief that is expressed is all part of it. Trying to convince anyone that our subjective experiences are valid is not needed. They are ours and we are richer for it, some can't understand the validity because they have never undergone the experience as we have."

We can't heal their fear by pointing it out or soothe their intimidation by pointing out it isn't necessary.

One big lesson here -- and the reason I went looking for real answers -- is that there really isn't anything but fear behind the bluster.

Knowing that may help us keep our "patience" and compassion.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 21
The Sun makes a significant contact a hair past midnight when it sextiles Pluto, giving us a better idea of how we can make best use of this year's transformative influences.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 22
The Moon moves over the still-existent Aquarius stellium creating nothing but harmonies today. It starts with conjunctions to Mercury and Jupiter. These conjunctions are strengthened by the fact that these are occultations—conjunctions by declination as well as longitude. This makes the mind sharp and optimistic, a quality that will be with us all day. Just when you feel like relaxing, the energy softens with a sextile to Venus, while a conjunction with Mars spices up the evening at just the right time.
