Cinnamon and it's benefits
I have been reading about the health benefits of using cinnamon on a regular basis...can't hurt... and it is a small thing that may do some real good for me physically...I googled (health benefits of cinnamon)and had lots of good sites to research from.

1. I eat cinnamon a lot
because I like it. Didn't know about health benefits. Will have to find out more.

2. Take care with the amount
I started taking the capsules and ended up with a lot of stomach pain. One time I burped and a little puff of cinnamon came up! I stopped taking the capsules.

3. Wow.
I've been going through a cinnamon crave for a couple of weeks, eating it every day. I haven't taken time to look it up until now. Cravings are valid indicators for body needs, imo.

In Ayurveda, cinnamon is used as a remedy for diabetes, indigestion, and colds, and it is often recommended for people with the kapha Ayurvedic type.

What is the Scientific Evidence for Cinnamon's Health Benefits?

Recent studies have found that cinnamon may have a beneficial effect on blood sugar.

That's my Ayurveda type, Kapha.

4. Some M.E. friends told me of a spice blend that uses cinnamon
for savory cooking. No salt needed, either :)

I use it for some veggie meals I make. I never measure it, just use enough to partially cover the food, same for the paprika and the sumac. I know many Americans won't recognize the spice sumac, so just follow the link for more info :)

Thanks for mentioning this. I'll have to look it up now...
