Name change
Woo hoo!! Excuse me a moment while I run around and do a little happy dance. :woohoo:

Ok, I'm back. I was not able to participate in the big name change thread here because I need to keep my previous name from showing up in any posts, due to a stalker. And if that were just some anonymous kook, I could have dealt with it. But this person is known to me personally and actually tried to assault/kill me back in January. Yeah, it's been an interesting year so far.

And yes, police were involved but in the end no charges were filed because at the time no one realized how dangerous this person really is. Including me. But now I am a member of a support group for people who have abusive partners and it's been a very eye-opening experience. And it's also led me to a great moral/spiritual dilemma.

I read all the posts here in ASAH every day and I understand how we are all where we are supposed to be right now. And we need to be giving and forgiving, but holy cats, am I really supposed to be that way to someone who has lied to me, conned me out of a whole lot of money, been verbally and emotionally abusive to me, and now almost killed me? I told this person that they have to get gone from here and the response was that if they go, "I go."

So, I am now hermetic, sealed off. But glad to be able to post here again and say hi to friends who may have been wondering, whatever happened to "...?" I'm still here. :hi:

1. Glad to see you, hermetic. I'm not sure who you were before, but...
that's the way it has to be for you to stay safe, so I'm glad that you're doing this.

I'm sorry that you've been going through this. :(

2. Hi, Hermetic!
:hi: Your last sentence "I'm still here," sounds like great name, too, given everything you've been through. Good God, what an ordeal!

Sending that the Spirit of Peace descends on that abusive person so as to drop out of your life immediately, and that you can make your way out again comfortably and in safety.

3. You need to heal in order to consider forgiveness
And first of all you need to feel safe and secure.
Don't worry about the forgiveness part until you are ready, if you ever feel ready.

Sending you light, protection and healing)))))))))))))))))))))))

5. Exactly what LiberalEsto says!
Take care of yourself and if forgiveness comes that's OK but if not that is OK too. You have a perfect right to your own emotions so please don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Personally I feel that forgiveness is a bit overrated at times and trying to go from being wounded to forgiveness without anything in between short ciruits the healing process leaving out important steps. I am big on owning anger because anger properly used gives the strength to stand up for self and others and motivates change for the better. Leaving out justified rightious anger takes away personal power. it is also a way of society and groups to not have to deal with victims' pain if they can get everyone to immediately jump to forgiveness.

6. Welcome back!
Don't rush into anything--as everyone has said, you need to heal yourself first, starting with feeling safe again. Sending healing vibes your way.

7. Thanks all
for your sendings. I think I will read this thread every day because I can really feel something coming from you. You are very gifted, indeed. I was in a proxy group with Liz Tobin a short while back and I really felt that, too. It was wonderful.

I would have replied yesterday but my ISP was down all day. Argh, the withdrawal! I was so happy to find it back on this morning.

Peace and love to you all.

9. Glad to hear you're safe and getting better!
:hi:

I've only recently become active in this group, so I don't know anything about what went on before (if it was ever mentioned around here) other than your update there. I like the name, too, though the first to come to mind was for Hermeticism and the Kybalion. It's a great book for manifesting what you truly want to attract in your life :D

10. Very interesting,
thanks Kentauros, I'll be giving that a read.

As I said, I have been reading ASAH every day for quite some time and have found your new contributions quite interesting. And the first time I saw you here, I had just finished reading a blog about centaurs. It had a number of interesting pictures and reminded me of the days when I used to watch "Xena," which had some very cool Centaurs, and their demise was very sad.

:hi:

11. Doreen Virtue did a re-interpretation of it,
with her version being titled "Divine Magic". Still she did not rewrite the original, and quoted it for each Principle in order to better explain and illuminate them to modern language and concepts.

I remember Xena, though I never watched it much. I like "campiness" but it got a little too much most of the time for me ;) I am happy that the HP movies and now the Narnia movies are giving people the idea that centaurs aren't exclusively "monsters". Then again, they've been surrounded by Centaurs/Saggitarii all these centuries and never noticed :P

So, what centaur blog was this you were reading? :) I know quite a few sites but it's rare to find any of them talking about the spiritual side.

12. Umm,
 It wasn't exactly spiritual. The blog is http://bizarrocomic.blogspot.com/ by Dan Piraro who does the cartoon, Bizarro. Turns out Dan is pretty cool and on Feb. 22 he did a cartoon with a centaur. If you read his blog you'll see words in blue. Click on them and it brings up pictures. So there was quite an assortment there. Which got me searching for more. And then I saw you here, and found it all to be an interesting coincidence. Dat's all.

Nice to meet you. :)

13. Maybe I implied that, but I don't think I was thinking it was spiritual
;)

I've always liked Piraro, though I was never aware of his blog. A few comic creators I like also have blogs that I don't keep up with :P (like Scott Saavedra and Larry Marder's Beanworld)

Here are some one-panel comics with centaurs for ya:

Nice to meet you, too!
