Dreamtime in Centaur Form for Kentauros
Yep! I had a centaur dream last night :D so here it is for your perusal and whatever else

(Yes, it's long, but as a CIA-type in Babylon 5 once said "The details are everything." :P)

Okay, this dream had elements of superheroes and secret government, and I seemed to be in the secret government group. And even that part was like we were at odds with yet another secret government group, like their goal was to take us out. We seemed to be associated with the superhero-types, though I cannot think of more than two instances where that nature came out. I know I was in an informal meeting with others in suits, and I was the one that knew the mapping (figures! lol) I think the discussion had partly to do with some chaotic events taking place for humanity, with the super-types having to do what they could without revealing too much of themselves to the general public. Not that they weren't known, only that they were not well-known and accepted. I suppose there are elements of X-Files, Heroes and X-Men, yet, of the three, I've only ever watched X-Files (X-Men movie was good, but I've only seen the first and that was years ago, while the three minutes I gave Heroes was enough to turn me off to its brutality in short order.)

So, there was this point where we were having to gather up the information we knew and flee our offices before being overrun by the other organization. The Supers (to borrow from The Incredibles, a truly great superhero movie :D) were organized and would be leading the way to wherever it was we were fleeing to. There was some discussion of using a seemingly experimental tube/train system as I remember watching some of the films of the designs. However, nothing was really in place, so maybe that was some other unrelated part of the dream. It had a very German feel to it for design and where it was located, and I'm not entirely sure any of this was taking place in the US. It did not have that kind of 'feel' to it or not for everything.

I know things finally got desperate, and though there was some part with one of the Supers floating above me and another group of them, though she and the rest didn't wear "costumes" or not in the way we identify them within our stories. The news media was there at that event as if we were telling them we were doing something and not to panic, but that bit is really only like an image in my memories. After that, we were on the move, only down, like under the building we were in, into the bowels so to speak.

The rest of the team as well as the few other Supers took off, and I remember having a hard time keeping up. By that point we were into a rather cavernous underground 'hallway', though it really was more like a long cave that had been paved with office-type walls, overhead fluorescent lighting, side corridors and doorways. None of those were important, as we were running the long length of this route. It must have been several miles long, it was that big. And to my eyes, I was looking at it like a map, and seeing the others getting quickly very far away from me. I had to go faster, too. Being human wasn't cutting it. I needed something that was faster.

There was no sense of transformation (I don't think there ever is in these dreams) but I was suddenly able to catch up. That was because I was a centaur. The details of my form didn't come into play until I got fairly close to the others. In the meantime, I was galloping and closing the gap easily. In most of the few centaur dreams I've had, it hasn't been a lucid dream; I was always just along for the ride, so to speak. This time was the same that way. I didn't seem to have as much 'control' other than to go where I needed to and so forth. I could still feel the associated feelings of no longer being human, but it was also a natural feeling, like with those other dreams I've had in this form. It never feels like I shouldn't be one.

As I got closer to the group and to the last quarter of the length for this cavern/hallway, I was joined by another centaur. This one, a male, was the typical Greek personification of a centaur. Black horse half, long curly black hair and beard and seemingly older, though not graying. He was keeping up with me, and we didn't talk until we got to the end of the trip and had to slow to a walk. Then because of our size and our normal walking gait, we were overtaking the walking humans. We got into a minor 'argument' about that, him saying we could slow down to their speed while I said (not verbatim ,but the gist of the following) it wasn't natural for us to try to slow our gait. We'd look silly and would stumble more. He tried it, though, and it was as I had said, though mostly just silly-looking.

I remember the details of my own body at this point and of him. We did not have "full-size" horse halves, instead closer in size to ponies, though not that small either. Just a small horse, I guess. I had a bay coat without so much red, close to the normal brown hair I have. Neither one of us were dressed. Centaurs don't always clothe themselves ;) I know my hooves were black, but I think my tail and mane were brown, but I don't recall that detail all that well.

The dream got away from the centaur part and either faded here, or I transformed back to human and then faded. I never saw my Greek centaur friend again. Maybe he was Chiron? ;)

The rest of the dream went back to more of that weird tube/train transportation system, but just the films of it, and showing the failures of individual carrying systems versus for larger numbers of people. It was done almost like a cartoon, with the people as caricatures of their normal selves. Some of the 'failures' weren't so nice, either, but no blood :P

Okay, that's it in a very large nutshell :D
Halve @ it!

1. You know best what the centaur symbolizes
since you've had dreams with it before. Recurring symbols will reveal their meanings to you after a time. My general impression was that you were meeting with not only your guides but with the group of us who are working to bring the world into higher vibration and Light. This can't be done out in the open because it is inner work. The opposing secret agencies could be stumbling blocks within our own selves--the key to it as I see it is to let go and be yourself and you will get to your destination. Not wanting to slow down to the human gait shows you know the time is near, and that we will leave some behind to find their own course of development.

2. Thank you!
I like your insight, like the last bit about not wanting to slow down to the others and that I am part of the group working on bringing in the Light. Sometimes when reading of the things y'all around here and elsewhere are capable of, I feel like I am behind, too.

I know there is a spiritual connection to centaurs, not just for me, but in general. I think it's that the horse portion represents our connection to the Earth, the physical, while the human half represents our connection to Spirit. Chiron, too, was the teacher of Asclepius, the man humanity calls the "Father of Medicine" though they should ascribe that title to Chiron, truthfully ;)

I've always been lousy at symbolosm in dreams. Probably because I don't try. I let others tell me. I think what I use dreams for most is ideas for writing. I just like to have fun in the dreams. It's usually the disturbing ones that I ask for help on, but I do like sharing the unusual ones like this :)

I hope it wasn't too much to read for a dream-post...

4. Hey, that was cool
As I read your account of your dream, in the back of my mind I was hearing "Well, of course. Because that is Truth." There ARE different groups like that in the government--a government that transcends specific countries. There ARE groups "at war" with each other. There ARE groups who are working behind the scenes and underground (literally and figuratively) to protect humanity, and they don't even know it.

So...you ARE part of one of those groups, and you are working on "projects" for humanity and Mother Earth. And you have what some would call "powers" that you can use to achieve that goal.

What I mean is, this dream felt quite literal to me, instead of symbolic. Like it was a snapshot of your "other" life in a dimension just the other side of what we see and "know" as real.

It must be so great to be so close to your spiritual/otherworldly self (centaur) that you can transform into one. I admire that! :hi:

5. Okay, I can accept that, too :)
I'll have to think back on some of the others I've had over the years and see if anything ties together. Just thinking now, I am not getting any links, but maybe my aching jaw is interrupting my connection...

One interesting connection to the idea of working on projects that help humanity and Mother Earth has to do with one of those genie stories I'm working on right now. No centaurs in it (they may be mentioned however) but one of the djinn that has taken on the task of cleansing the Earth as part of her existence kind of goes power-hungry during the course of the story. It makes me think about where ideas come from, even though I know we all do have free will and our own imaginations. Still, in such a case as a dream like this as well as a similar-themed piece of unfinished fiction, something is coming through beyond my own imagination, or is inspiring me to write that which needs to be told in this way (if that makes sense :P)

Perhaps in that case, the dream can be both symbolic and literal. We have to get the message somehow, so why not in all ways possible? ;)

Thank you for the insights, MG :D

7. In these types of dreams, it's fleeting.
The rest of the time I'm at the Centaur of the Universe

8. Centuar talking about it.............

Pan intended

The action/figures are striking.

The transition is intriguing. From the "German" (trains run on time) tube station, the overview of the designs/map, "things finally got desperate," the media and telling them "not to panic" (there's Pan again!), on the move, down, bowels........

"The rest of the team as well as the few other Supers took off, and I remember having a hard time keeping up. By that point we were into a rather cavernous underground 'hallway', though it really was more like a long cave that had been paved with office-type walls, overhead fluorescent lighting, side corridors and doorways. I needed something that was faster."

That bit's fascinating. If it were my dream, I would wonder why the long cave was "paved with office-type walls" that sound in the telling to be obviously phony, a facade... "none of those were important, as we were running the long length of this route," see again in overview "like a map." (Remember RM's "offramp" imagery?)

"I had to go faster, too. Being human wasn't cutting it. I needed something that was faster."

With your lucid and Monroe experience, is this an adventure in OBE?

9. Interesting parallel to Pan
as I always liked the faun, Mr. Tumnus, in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe :)

Also, your analysis reminds me quite a lot of the movie Metropolis (either the silent by Fritz Lang or the anime version.) Lots of scenes going into the bowels of the city as well as overbearing government and secret-types. If you've never seen either movie, you should :D

Actually, I don't remember Monroe's "offramp" anything; it's been many years since i read his books or other materials. The term sounds familiar, though, so something must have stuck ;)

This particular dream didn't really have the 'feel' of being connected to an OBE. I usually only associate those that go fully or even partially lucid as being either a former OBE or precursor to one. I'm still not sure how much of a dream can be an OBE and how much is "just a dream" if that's ever the case. There's plenty of conflicting information on this topic, so I just have to go with what feels right on a 'per dream' basis. That may change when I finally try out those video links posted to the OBE thread...

I do have to ask y'all, though: Is transformation in a dream like some of the forms I've ended up as (centaur, both male and female, female human, invisible, magical) all that uncommon? I know it's exciting to transform, as many times as I've done this in a dream. Still, it sounds as if it's still not as common as it would seem. Years and years ago, I talked to one online friend that had been a griffin in a dream, but she was the only other person in a group of a least twenty in that (spiritual) chatroom. So, either it's truly not "normal" or there's much more to this than I'm seeing, which is likely.

10. offramps
Monroe compared the Afterlife and his travels to a highway system with different offramps for different experiences, including the "like meets like" groups stuck together before they moved on, if they did....

From reading and talking to others about dreams, it seems to me that transforming is not common. How common is lucid dreaming? The folks I know who do it are "naturals" at it and not that many.

11. Okay, thanks :)
I remember the concept, just not the terminology. He mentions it in his second book, right? where he visits some of those groups and they are like addicts of whatever they can be, as it's all unbounded in the afterlife.

You're probably right that it's not that common, though I seem to attract to me those that are natural at lucid dreaming. I do recall, though, reading accounts of people transforming into inanimate objects (the example was of silverware) and not being animate, like cartoon characters. I haven't had that happen, that I know of, yet ;) It all reminds me further of the Carlos Casteneda book (The Art of Dreaming) with the "Inorganic Beings". I had them show up in a dream when I was trying to finish that book. However, I stopped reading it when that happened as it was a very strong "invasion" of my dream by them...

12. Some of my best friends are lucid
 dreamers that is.

I have had a cartoon dream.

Monroe described piles of bodies writhing in whatever addiction/mindset they were fixed on at TOD.

My readings on dreams encourage me to say "if it were my dream" and never attempt to define another's dream for them.......

13. I dreamed about you
last night, Kentauros. When I awoke from it this morning, I was certain it was you. You told me many, many things. I frequently have dreams like this. "Someone" tells me things, long conversations, which I don't actively remember when I wake. But I am certain that those things reside somewhere in my brain. And it always gives me a deep sense of calm and peace. So, thanks.

14. You're welcome :)

I enjoy being a font of information, too :D
I hope I told you things that were useful to you or will be. Although I do love just knowing things for the sake of knowing them. You never know when that information will be helpful in some capacity.

I had to take a Tylenol PM last night and it knocked me out. I know I dreamed quite a bit, but whenever I woke up, I was just too tired to get up, and went back to sleep. The last dream I remember had to do with work, not meeting deadlines and a letter on my desk. The secretary showed it to me and said I better open it. I reached for it and then I woke up. I guess I didn't really want to know what was in it ;) So maybe I don't always want to know everything
