the hummer is back

but this time can't see to find the exit. I spent an hour waiting, with a flower hanging in the door. He remained totally fixated on the skylights.

I finally had to come in and feed the dogs, and then we headed back out. Hummer was still there, more scared and desperate, cheeping, banging on the roof.

And it's dark now, so there's not much I can do. I'm concerned about how much energy she or he has burned trying to get out. I wonder if there are eggs or babies in the nest. And it's going to be quite cold tonight, with frost in the inland valleys. :(
