Rehnquist to retire!!
Edited on Thu Jul-07-05 06:47 PM by Nancy Waterman
I think this makes sense of what I saw in the planetary configuration for the Congress. The first appointment may go through easily. The culture wars may erupt on the Right if it is Gonzales (Uranus square US Uranus in August), but the stress may not be there in Congress. It will be the second nomination that will cause trouble in Congress, between mid September and early December. And Bush will be very upset about it (Saturn on his head all fall).

1. What is in the stars for we the people to kick up a stink
about an entirely conservative Supreme Court for life. It is very undemocratic. Both POV should be represented in government even in the Supreme Court. What would be an auspicious time for a campaign to let Bush and Congress know that they'd better be thinking blue and liberal.

2. It is possible that Gonzales
won't be so conservative or at least will sort of match O'Connor and that the replacemnt for Rehnquist will just match his conservatism. That is the best we can hope for, something like the status quo.

3. This is how bad it is: I'm beginning to think "status quo" isn't as bad
as it could be.

Now I KNOW I'm living in an alternate reality: when I start thinking that if it doesn't get any WORSE, it's a step in the right direction!

This must have been what it was like as Hitler rose to power. :freak:

4. Is this official?
Yesterday the only source was World Net Daily, & they're not exactly reliable. I haven't seen it yet from any credible source.

5. AAR radio just reported awhile ago that Renquist will
give his resignation today. I don't know how reliable that is but it seems to be happening.

6. Nothing yet to confirm this
loudsue - I totally agree. We are really down the rabbit hole if we think maintaining the status quo is positive.
