About tonight's Solar Eclipse in Cancer... |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-21-09 12:27 PM by ricochetastroman
Tonight's Solar Eclipse is forming now and for the past few days. Its effects will last for about 5 days, but should max out tonight and tomorrow. Cancer lunations are moody. And for good reason. It makes you think of Ma, and Pa, and family and the old ways.
It makes you "what if" a lot. It tends to press us towards "why no one loves us." We must take a fresh sober look at it if possible and realize that everyone is doing the best they can. Cancer energy can get us so wound up due to a deep feeling that we might just die if we continue to not get what we NEED EMOTIONALLY. It can lead to very IRRATIONAL actions because the heart is the last place to look for logic.
We need, we all need. Don't forget that we have to take care of ourselves too. Try hard to come out of the past and look around and let's all be grateful for what we do have NOW.
I know it's not easy. The 29th degree where the eclipse is hitting, is a strong degree in any sign, called the Anaretic degree.
It's kind of like an actor who is leaving the stage and has just one more thing to say and pops their head back on stage. Boom! One final message.
We'll all be ok, but we have to REALLY FOCUS on changing whatever we need in order to get our emotional sustenance. If you're with someone who is draining you, or "vampiring" your energy, you REALLY need to think hard about getting out or getting things fixed up right. This is no picnic energy nor is it the end. It guttural. Don't overwhelm it with THOUGHT.
Peace and Love to all of you

1. I have really been feeling this one (and it gets worse!?) ;) |
|
I was guided back to Pema Chodron's book "When Things Fall Apart" a week or so ago, probably as preparation for these feelings...it's just the ticket. :hi: and thanks!

THANK YOU!
I have never in my life felt so much at loose ends, not "seeing" a way forward. There was a question in one of the threads as to if there's any astrological similarities between 2009 and 1972. It does feel similar to me, too. This has been a challenging summer (year!)for so many. So, I for one, will be glad when things start to free up.

That was me! I still don't know if there is one, but it sure feels like it to me.
I also feel like this summer is one of stasis--just a lot of waiting. x(

Truthfully I've been feeling really out of sorts today. Blamed it on PMS, but I'm sure this ain't helping!

6. So I will try to put off those urges to drop everything |
|
and move to Montana until I can think it thru a bit more. Ok. I thought I had a good spontaneous plan too.

10. If you decide to go anyway, |
|
let me know - I found a perfect little spot years ago while traveling through there. Of course, there's no place to stay - nothing but wilderness - but that sounds pretty good, eh?!

14. I thought I could support myself and my dog by waitressing... |
|
And there is a history of people from Illinois going to Montana to retreat from the world so there is precedent. Not quite sane people so I would be a first. :P

7. Oooo... a new astrological term: "Anaretic degree"! |
|
:bounce:
Hmmm... my Chiron's in the Anaretic degree. I love learning something new and applying it to my chart. Thanks, Rick!
:D
In reference to the eclipse information, as always, thanks so much for sharing your wisdom with us.

8. Some time ago, I vaguely remember a discussion or mention of the path |
|
of a solar eclipse to have a different effect on those in it's path.
If I am correct, the lunar eclipse also took this path.
I just wonder, since my ex is in Japan, will there be an extra dose of this energy? Perhaps, glimmer of hope towards an awakening to finally become a decent human being?
On the general matter of Japan, PM Aso calling for an election and dissolving parliament...hmmmmmm

I sorta stayed out of the fray on all the eclipse posts.
Sure having three eclipses over a month is significant and pivotal. Pluto has is import for sure.
Yet we can't just look at that.
The Jupiter, Neptune, Chiron conjunction, which is far more rare, coupled with the ongoing Saturn/Uranus opposition weighs in quite intensely.
They in tandem pose the question of what are we willing to commit, long term, for our ultimate creative fulfillment.
No big deal.
