Eclipse dreams of 7/21?
Anybody have interesting dreams last night during/after the eclipse?

I did, but I can't remember any details (storylines, so to speak). The one thing I do remember quite clearly, though, is LAUGHTER. There was joy--whoever was in my dreams and I were laughing a LOT. I don't usually laugh in my dreams, so I consider that quite significant. What exactly it means is another story!

However, for some reason today I feel a little melancholy.

Might be the weather, which was FREAKY last night. A thunderstorm rolled in--backwards--from the southeast!--around dinnertime, and three telephone poles/power lines in our area caught on fire from lightning strikes. First our power went down to nearly nil, and our lights were quite dim for about an hour, then we lost power entirely (along with the rest of the village). I had to go out in the deluge to the next town over to fetch hamburgers because I realized too late that I had nothing I could serve for dinner that didn't require the stove or microwave (unless we ate peanut butter crackers with MG Jr., which I was willing to do, but Mr. MG wasn't). Power stayed out till 8:00.

Icky humid today and still unsettled, threatening more rain. Forecast says it's going to be like this all week. Whee!

1. I had a dream about the national health care plan
Honestly. I have not been following this much, but woke up convinced I better get myself educated on the subject.

In the dream I was talking to a guy whose teeth were all brown and rotted. He was sad about it, said he was just plain tired of not being able to get medical care.

It is just wrong that people don't have adequate access to medical care in this country and it makes me so angry to see people--even acquaintences of mine--talking negatively about this very important change. I resolve to get better educated on the topic so I can put them straight when they dis the Democrats' proposal.

2. Yes.
I dreamed I was with a friend and asking her what a "wombat" is. I had no idea. She tried to explain, and told me, "It's on the calendar!" So I went to this strange place, a bare cement building surrounded my nothing, to see what "wombat" was all about. There were a few small group activities going on. Nothing that looked interesting. I got some food and noticed one of the friends who came with me was at the vendor counter buying tickets to go to a club (one I used to dream about a lot). I was hesitant to go with her. She wasn't being very nice to me (Cancer eclipse?) Meanwhile another friend bagged up my left over food. Then I was searching frantically through the bag for my ticket, which I didn't even remember buying.

(That club had many past dream sequences. The best one was when it evolved into a candy store which I OWNED! That was great.)

This afternoon I was resting and just allowing visual images to drift by. I did a double take when I saw a furry animal and a turtle standing in front of a fence rail. The turtle climbed on the furry animal to get a ride over the railing.

A while ago I searched "wombat", and that is the furry animal I saw.

The Turtle

The turtle is a creature of the water. Because of its great age and its slow metabolism the turtle is associated with longevity. Turtle medicine can teach new perceptions about time and our relationship to it. It can also help us grow old gracefully and in harmony with our environment. When the pace of life becomes too hectic the turtle shows us how to slow down and go with the flow.

Turtles have amazing survival skills and strategies. They sense vibrations in the water through their skin and shell. Turtle totems hold the mystery of awakening the senses on both the physical and spiritual levels and can stimulate clairaudience.

Turtles carry their homes on their back. The shell is actually the backbone and ribs of the turtle and serves as home and shelter for it. Those with this medicine should remember not to acquire more possessions then they actually need. The burden of responsibility can become a heavy weight for you to carry.

When turtle is flipped on its back it uses its strong neck to right itself. This can be a reminder to use your own head and inner knowledge to right yourself when your world gets topsy-turvy.

All turtles must come ashore to lay their eggs and they are usually buried. When the eggs hatch they make their way to the water. The link between water and land especially for the purpose of reproduction has great significance.

When turtle shows up in your life, it is time to get connected to your most primal essence. Go within your shell and come out when your ideas are ready to be expressed. The turtle cannot separate itself from its shell and we cannot separate ourselves from what we do to the earth. The way to heaven is through the earth and both are interconnected.

The Wombat

There are three types of wombats. The common wombat, the southern hairy nosed and the northern hairy nosed wombat. All are found in Australia. Wombats have long claws adapted for digging. They live in burrows and feed at night on grasses and other plants. They teach us how to dig beneath the surface to acquire the resources needed for change.

Like the beaver the wombats incisor teeth are of continuous growth. They eat frequently to keep these teeth from becoming too large. Proper dental hygiene is important for those with this medicine. Over consumption of food can cause health problems in humans so a balanced diet is advised.

Strong and heavily built, with short powerful legs and strong claws the wombat holds the teachings of stability and foundation. They stand their ground in most all situations and are not easily intimidated. Industrious, determined and very smart they have a large brain and know how to use it. These traits are inherent in wombat medicine people yet not always active. Wombat asks you to wake up and use the gifts that are your birth right. Use your will constructively and don't be too pushy in your determination to achieve.

Wombats are frolicsome and will play with what seems like inexhaustible energy. They are also quite fast when they need to be. Their small ears hear sounds unknown to humans and their small eyes can see what lies between the spaces. This indicates that their psychic vision and psychic hearing are fully developed. Those with this totem often find themselves in situations where their psychic skills are tested, criticized, ignored or praised. They are reminded to honor their truth and not be intimidated by others.

Wombat reminds us to play on the road to enlightenment. It teaches us how to dig beneath the surface and use our will to attain our goals. When the wombat appears it is time to reach out and grab what is rightfully yours.

10. Sorry, Robert Moss, here are links:
If you have a good used bookstore, they may have a copy of Conscious Dreaming. In it, he tells how he came to dreaming as a child. And a dream image similar to yours. One of my favorite authors on dreaming.

"If this were my dream.............."

there is very strong transformative imagery repeated here:

Looks like many ASAHers are sharing dream symbolism. That's significant, I think! :D

3. Had a dream with Edgar Cayce(sp) in it.
Edited on Wed Jul-22-09 06:08 PM by glowing
About time and that a diff. person simalar to Cayce would be being born... something with the end of the world.. but not really the end of the world.. just the type of crazy world concepts that we live within.. that feels cagelike and binding.. the bonds would break. Kind of fuzzy around the details.

cayce in my dreams was telling me about this new person that would be born.. maybe its many that are being born. Details are rather fuzzy.. but it was a good dream.. happy.

6. Another strange dream last night.
I was with old friends from highschool.. we were all meeting up at this club that we had pre-bought tickets to. I was being driven by my cousin and was in the front seat with some of his friends in the back. We got to the club and my best friend was there. We had to have our tickets scanned by this woman and most of us didn't have the proper tickets.. and she was complaining to this man about the system being messed up and changing the mastercard system. She was blonde and had her hair swept up and was wearing an outfit like at the movies. She was drinking out of a big gulp cup with straw.. slurping on it and shaking her head at the process. We were more concerned with the lack of people showing up at this club... we wanted it to be packed.. We needed more people at the club.

AND then the dream changed. I was packing up for a trip and was going into a train station with this "Future boy". He didn't have distinct features or age. Sandy blonde hair.. and hands that were like mittens or like a flipper (no fingers, just a thumb and a pad like the 4 fingers were fused. We were dragging our bags thru the station and then we got to this door. It was a door to the future, but we couldn't go thru yet. They were changing things behind the door. Changing the lay out because events had changed and the future had to be fixed to represent the changes that had taken place. Even the future boy couldn't go thru or know see what was happening in the future because the future was being fixed/ changed. But the voice on the overhead station said, "keep your bags packed and wait. When the door opens, you have to be ready to go.. and it will go fast". (this makes sense in the context of this summers doldrums.. like waiting to begin.. but being ready to go when its time to begin). I suppose something could be telling me my big change is coming and when it does it will be fast and like a trip.

8. I like your dream
Especially the part about having to wait because the future is being changed. I do hope it's being changed for the better!

And the warning that when it's time to go it'll be fast--that echoes what a lot of channelers have been saying about the shift (I've been reading Patricia Cori, Tom Kenyon, and Judi Sion at the moment, and if I recall correctly at least one of them said that).

Thanks for the confirmation that we're still in a waiting room. I am itchin' to go, though...

go yet.. More people needed to show up.. to get ready to go..

7. Last night (Wednesday night/Thursday morning)
Edited on Thu Jul-23-09 07:51 AM by MorningGlow
More laughing dreams (I could get used to this!)--I distinctly remember one bit with (for fans of British television) Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear--of all people!! (FYI, he's known for being outspoken and abrasive but really a nice guy under the "persona." Not sure if that's significant, but I figure it was worth including just in case.)

Anyway, he was going to do a funny bit for the show with a paint gun and was going to use me as target practice--I was just supposed to stand in one place! But then everything got put on hold, so I decided to take a nap. Don't know where the bed--well, more like a cot--came from in the studio, but I curled up in it. He started acting like a dad and tucked me in. I was half asleep, and I muttered, "Oh, sure. You tuck me in now, but you're going to 'shoot' me later." He said he'd changed his mind about that--like he was seeing me as a real person instead of a prop for a comedy bit.

I have NO idea what that was all about.

very similar image in a dream with Mom and a "rollaway bed." A padded cot that folds up. Are we being told we're "half asleep"?

Beats me about the nappage imagery. Your guess sounds reasonable! :hi:

On edit--a little Kermie:

Have you been half asleep?
And have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name.
Is it the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same.
I've heard it too many times to ignore it.
It's something that I'm s'posed to be.
Someday we'll find it--the Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me!
:D

14. Pretty profound for a green felt puppet, eh?
Sigh--I miss Jim Henson. Such an enlightened soul.

Anyway, another thought that came to me after I posted that--perhaps it's more imagery of the stasis we're in for the summer? "Rest up while you can" sort of thing? That would match Glowing's dream in the airport.
