A gorgeous and peaceful work of music.
The thread about our favorite music got me started on this. I hope I can broaden peoples' horizons about music here.

Gabriel Faure wrote this when he was nineteen years old, in 1865, and won a prize in composition at his school. It's usually done in French. I've sung it before in English.
