A strange dream I had last night
I had this really weird dream last night. In the dream I was at the junior high school I went to and I was sitting in the back. I don't remember much about the dream except for this. I was sitting on the grass on a blanket and there were all types of high school bands around. My old band director I had when I was in eleventh/twelevth grade. The band was warming up and playing through the songs like we used to do. While the band was playing through songs they showed on this screen scenes from the movie "Snow White". While the band was playing through this song I saw coming from the other side of the area John Kerry. He was a new band director which was very weird. He was coming over to my old teacher and asking about where someone should go. In this dream this guy friend who I'm in love with came over and sat down next to me. There's a sorta story with him and that whole thing if you'd like I can tell. But this guy friend came over and sat down next to me and was acting very romantic to me. I kept looking on his hand for a wedding ring or anything like that and don't remember seeing anything. These two guys came over to me and asked me about where I got a scoharlship. I told them how I got the scholarship and they went back to where they came from and I told them it was for the school but they were talking about college and said some horrible things. The guy friend was really sweet and defending of me. After the band did rehearsing we left and he was holding my hand and then I woke up. What was strange I guess is how I haven't had a dream with this guy in a long time and we haven't spoken since this last January. I was wondering if anybody here was good at dreams. Thanks in advanced.

1. Hi FreedomAngel82.....
Your dream sounds normal.... In a way that a lot of our dreams sound like. How do you record your dreams? It takes practice for us. I mean, one of us has a dream and it takes the Dickens to remember it! What are you doing that we aren't doing in order to remember our dreams? Some of us keep dream dairies so as we can tell if our dreams 'are real' or not! Dreams are strange things. To address these rightly, one must be sure that it's not the mind playing games....

2. First I would think about what significance each of these
aspects of the dream holds for you. For example, your old band director, the film 'Snow White', the guy that sat next to you and defended you from the verbal assaults and John Kerry.

There are so many different ways to interpret dreams. Some interpreters like to look at the significance of individual elements. Others state that every person in your dream is representative of an aspect of yourself--that you need to look at.

Dreaming of school can be significant of the need to 'learn' or review something, maybe a lesson you haven't yet learned in your life in regard to some relationships or another aspect of your life.

School could also be indicative of something that specific from the junior high school period of your life--ultimately only you would know what this would be.

Just a few thoughts regarding what jumped out at me right away, and a few tools for deciphering what your dream may be about.

Hopefully, some others will jump in here and add their thoughts as well.

:hi:

3. Thanks to both of you
I keep a journal where I write feelings and dreams and things like that.
I haven't heard from this guy friend in a long time and he's been popping in my mind lately and then I have that dream.

4. Maybe your dream is pointing to some unresolved
feelings for him? Did you think of him as a sort of saving grace in your relationship? Someone that was always there for you? Or someone that rescued you or helped you through some tough times?

I ask because of the situation he is in in your dream--as he defends you. It made me wonder if this was the true nature of your relationship? If so,that could explain your dream...or if he wasn't this perhaps deep down you wanted him to be?

Just taking guesses based on what you reveal of your dream. I hope this was helpful and not overstepping in any way.

Take care and good luck with figuring it out!
Bliss:)

5. I'm not sure about all that

We were friends in school and he was one of those friends who helped me outcome my shyness and everything. So I guess that helped. I don't know if it's him I've seen in my future or not. I always barely miss seeing this person. The first dream I had where I was in the future I was in my bedroom and woke up naked () but no guy was around me. I looked around frantically to try to see if there was any sign of him and there was nobody around. I found a note on a sticky pad on my night table. The person wrote that they went to get food and would be back soon and signed their name and their name was this guy friends name. I had another visit where I was at the local mall with the future guy and a friend of mine was there with us with who she was with (the guy she was with is my friend's best friend, or they were in high school, don't know if they still are). We were at a restaurant eating and I was talking to this guy about something. I couldn't see his face very clearly. I've had one other time where I almost saw his face and I again woke up in my room (this time with clothes on ha) and saw a guy sitting in my white wicker rocking chair and I almost saw all of his face. I saw my dad run up the stairs (we were at my parents house where I live now) and it was 8:48am eastern (I actually saw the time) and it was on a Saturday morning. I think we were going to go out somewhere. Then I woke up after I saw my dad running up the stairs.

6. I would do meditation
These seem like anxiety dreams to me, I still have dreams that I am back in high school and there is always a crisis to be resolved, a test I didn't study for, they lost my high school diploma and say that I have to repeat my senior year, and I wander the halls lost during a class change and I can't find the room. The fact that you are confused and
w/o clothes (vulnerable) adds to the unease, this is just my guess. Your father running up the stairs, an authority figure????

7. I really don't know
Yes, I have those dreams too. That I'm back in middle school and I can't remember my locker combiniation or I can't remember where to go for class. One time I had a dream I was back in elementary school. This dream was like I was actually there though. I was in this place. Not watching it like most dreams.

8. that sounds kinda complicated

but you could look up the meaning of dreaming about a band. I'm not sure what that means, but could take a guess that dreaming about junior high and sitting in the back could show that you feel insecure, and are trying to deal with that. Also, since a major part of the dream was about a guy that you like, it could show a junior high kind of feeling there, too. being shy and embarrassed, and feeling attacked by 2 junior high guys. It is interesting that John Kerry was a new band leader, maybe that shows him taking a bigger leadership role in the future. Or maybe you see him as being more at the junior high level.
The snow white movie being shown is another interesting thing, but I really don't have a clue what that means. Except that maybe you identify with Snow White, at some level. In all, it seems like a good dream, you are not running to get away from monsters, and there is a balance of problems/ and help with the problems. You allow yourself to accept protection against some guys you don't trust, from a guy that you do trust. Maybe the dream shows you wanting and being ready for a romantic relationship, and is saying that you can trust your judgement when it comes to men.

9. Sounds like a good theory of the dream
Maybe that's what it means. I'm usually not good with dreams. I just can tell what type of dream it is whether it's a message, me just working problems out etc. This dream felt more like me working problems out. I don't get the Snow White thing either. The guy thing makes sense. I still don't get the John Kerry thing myself but that's an interesting thing to think about.

11. well
yeah, the guy thing seems impt. And you did also say that this dream felt more real than some others do, like you were really there. Another way of looking at the dream is to say, maybe I really was there, with all these people, and it just seems like a dream now. I still think it would be interesting to know what some of the meanings for a musical band are.

12. Me too

I don't get the band thing. That was a huge part of my life when I was younger though. I was in the school band from 6th grade to the middle of 12th grade. I had to stop the second term of 12th grade for another class. With this dream it was based around high school but we were located at the junior high school.
