Simply because he went on a Fox News program and talked about the troops. No one seems to know or care that for years he gave that con artist Sylvia Browne a platform to take advantage of grieving people.

Oh, and the reason he was fired? Not because of his low ratings, but because he supported the troop on a Fox show. :eyes:

1. Compared to some other day time talk shows the guy is a positive genius though

Oprah="The Secret" and Jenny McCarthy gives us the downlow on vaccines causing her child's autism, because you know her "mommy instinct" told her so.
Oh and you want total barf material? I just saw clips of John Edwards on Tyra banks show..Oh Yuck, that woman is a fluff brain! I'm sure Edwards regretted that interview especially as she asked him how it felt to be the "minority" in the Dem field not being either a woman or a black man! Yes, I'm sure he felt so prejudiced agaisnt..only being the same as every other President ever elected. He gave a fairly diplomatic answer though....

2. This is DU

On DU, every public figure is either the devil incarnate or the saviour of mankind - and which one they are can change overnight. Never mind his past performance, never mind that he's waited until now to speak out: on DU, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend", and he'll remain a hero until something shiny catches DU's short attention span, or until he says something we don't like, in which case the people currently worshipping him will be burning him in effigy. Sometimes, DU is like a two-year-old with a sugar rush: kind of entertaining, but bloody tiring.

3. I liked when he would have

The monstrously fat kids on. The 100lb 2 year olds with sleep apnea, arthritis, and such whose moms swear "He's healthy!". Makes me feel a little bit better about my childs admittedly atrocious diet (she LOVES white trash eatin - fish sticks, box mac'n'cheese, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, corn dogs, pizza, etc). Hell, I'm lucky I can get her to eat anything, she used to be even pickier, and the all night sleeping at the table "you're not getting up until you finish your food" then awake there until noon he next day thing beat me. She's one stubborn girl, that Dropkid. It would do me proud if I wasn't the one who had to deal with it. At least I can sneak pureed veggies into things.

Now I have to watch Maury for my "Who's the daddy?" and "My kid's not fat" fix.
