3,000-plus 2nd MLG troops returning this week

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — More than 3,000 Camp Lejeune, N.C.-based Marines and sailors are coming home following a nearly 13-month deployment in Iraq.

Members of 2nd Marine Logistics Group began returning Sunday. Homecomings for more than 400 Marines and sailors with Combat Logistics Regiment 27 are expected Wednesday and Thursday, according to a 2nd MLG press release.

The group was based at Camp Taqaddum, where it provided logistical, supply, explosive ordnance disposal, engineering, maintenance, dental and medical support to troops operating within its area of operations.
