Robins airmen plead guilty to trafficking potStaff report

Two airmen stationed at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., who were caught traveling with 45 pounds of marijuana in Illinois last spring, pleaded guilty to drug charges in court Tuesday, The State Journal Register reports.
Senior Airman Ryan Kyle, 20, and Airman 1st Class Lynwood Williams, 22, were pulled over by Illinois State Police on May 19 in Sangamon County. Both men, the report said, will be dismissed from the Air Force.
Both pleaded guilty to cannabis trafficking, as well as manufacture and delivery of cannabis, and will report to jail on March 3.
Kyle, who came up with a plan to traffic the pot from Arizona to Chicago according to the report, was sentenced to eight years in confinement and Williams was sentenced to six years in confinement.
At Robins, Kyle has served with the 116th Air Control Wing and Williams has served with the 19th Air Refueling Group.
