2 Ark. guardsmen charged in drug bust

CAMDEN, Ark. — Two members of the Arkansas National Guard have been accused in a drug bust at a Camden home.

The Monday arrests came after a yearlong investigation. Police seized 115 pounds of marijuana from the home, as well as two firearms and more than $1,000 in cash.

Arrested were Spc. Larry Lewis Jr., 27; Staff Sgt. Terry King, 34; Vincent Moore, 34; and Reginald Jackson, 45. Police said Moore owns the home where the drugs were seized.

All four face charges of possession with intent to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and maintaining a drug premises. Moore also was charged with delivery of a controlled substance.

A Guard spokesman said the military will take action against the two soldiers only if they are convicted.
