Winter Soldier: Iraq War Veterans speak out
Winter Soldier: Hundreds of Veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan Gather to Testify in Echo of 1971 Vietnam Hearings

Hundreds of veterans and active-duty soldiers of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars are gathering today for the Winter Soldier hearings. The soldiers plan to give eyewitness accounts of the occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Organized by Iraq Veterans Against the War, the gathering is modeled after the 1971 Winter Solider hearings organized by the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. ...http://www.democracynow.org/2008/3/14/hundreds_of_veter... 2. Howdy All.
I'm working in the big room where most of the testimony is given. These young men and women are awesum!! And they stay up later than I'm used to. . .

Amy Goodman's been down here for the last few days, so I suspect you'll see more of Winter Soldier over the coming weeks.

3. it's just soooo loathsome...what they expected from the troops
March 16-17, 2008 -- Winter Soldier reveals subservience of US troops to contractors in Iraq and malfeasance of John McCain's "great General Petraeus."

US Army veterans of Iraq revealed how they were subservient to U.S. contractors in Iraq and were ordered to put their own lives on the line to improve the bottom line of Halliburton, the one time parent company of Defense Department contractor Kellogg, Brown & Root (KBR).

The veterans of Iraq testified at Winter Soldier 2008 held in Silver Spring in suburban Washington from March 14 through 16.

4. So, now that Winter Soldier 2 is almost over
Did anyone come out and give any specific information about how the evil Americans invaders drove their Bradleys and tanks down the street, running over small dogs and small children too slow to get out of the way? Did we hear about toenails and teeth being pulled out with pliers as so we could kick in more doors and shoot grandma when she reached for her burka?

I'll answer this with a resounding no. IMO, this was a bunch of people who have 1960's hero worship and want to sing Kum-By-Yah with the people who decided to fly planes into the Twin Towers and cut Daniel Pearl's head off because he was "an infidel".
