Mayor steals from dead Marine's family
This is the worse kind of dirtbag. This guy should be impeached and thrown in jail. I think a few letters from vets and their families might get some actions on this.
This from Colorado:

<snip>
FORT LUPTON, Colo. -- The mother of a U.S. Marine was grieving for her dead son when she found that his savings account had been claimed by the director of the funeral home.

It was money that he had no right to and despite a court ruling, the funeral director refused to pay. What's even more puzzling is that he's not just any debtor, he's the mayor of the small town and a member of a City Council that has financial responsibility for the city's budget.
</snip>

You can read the full article here

This guy should be tarred, feathered and rode out of town on a rail.

1. No, he should be sued
and the pain and suffering he's inflicted on this family should drain him of every scrap he's got.

Then maybe it'll dawn on him just what he did wrong.

2. You can't get blood from a turnip
The article states that this man has filed bankruptcy before. And that the city has him running their finances. They'll be luck to get any monetary satisfaction from this turd. But he does belong in jail.

3. We Should Alert the Liberal Media...
pun intended. But really we should write letters to their editor and call city hall. (I guess)

6. Who facilitated this theft? Did a banker allow the money to go to this
Edited on Wed May-03-06 10:43 AM by higher class
man or did a court allow it? There has to be someone who helped him get that money out of the bank - go after him/her/them. Were their legal steps involved?.

Why doesn't the article quote more officials or is this guy the only official in town? Then what about the county or state?

Did the Marines pay or not pay all the costs?

Not all the facts are in the article. This happens so often.

Anyway, the Sepulvedas should change their name to Johnson or Winston.

Contempt for Hispanics is on the rise.

7. Bostick one slime ball
My first thoughts are that this slimball is a red faced republican.... pure neocon at heart.

My next thought is > they should hold a 21 gun salute at that dead Marine Sepulvedes's funeral and direct those gun barrels Bostik's direction. (even though a 21 gun salute would not be appropriate due to the Marine dying in a non service connected car accident, it's the thought that was genuine based on basic slimball deductibles)

But Bostick not only owes the Sepulvedas, he owes other people money.

"You've got other judgments out there. Do you want to talk to me about that?" Ferrugia asked Bostick.

"No, I don't," Bostick said.

In fact, court records show Bostick has several current unsatisfied debts to creditors from Greeley to Montana and that doesn't include money he owed when he filed bankruptcy in 2001. He claims he is trying to repay the money.

But Bostick didn't want to talk about the money he owes the Sepulveda family or whether, given his personal financial problems, he should be making fiscal decisions for the town of Fort Lupton.
