They are just a few of the 762 Seattle high school students who died in World War II. Their names are listed on the towering wall at the entrance of Seattle High School Memorial Stadium.

Now, nearly 60 years later, although nothing has been officially decided, it seems likely that Memorial Stadium and possibly the wall of names could be torn down under a plan for updating the Seattle Center. There's talk of transforming the space into a gracious entrance to the Center that includes an underground parking garage.
