Roadside bomb kills soldier in Iraq

BAGHDAD — The U.S. military says an American soldier was killed by a roadside bomb south of Baghdad.

A statement says the Multi-National Division-Center soldier died Monday in a blast southeast of Hillah. Hillah is a mainly Shiite city about 60 miles south of Baghdad.

The soldier’s name has not been released pending notification of relatives.
